I've been considering entering an animation competition in my local area. This is just a test for a character I made, it's a little weird but whatever, enjoy!

I can't tell if this is animated with a puppet or not... that's how you know somebody is really good with puppets, when it looks like traditional animation.
I've always wondered, what type of animation do you like more, puppet or traditional?

I think traditional takes more actual talent, but puppet usually gives better results.

Nice work. a few advices if i may ? try to not repete the timing of each animation. every movement last one second : lighting ( one second ) , looking at the match ( one second ) etc...
Β it's king of mechanic. if you choose to make a movement of 0.5sec and the other 1sec or more, you'll see the difference.
other thing : the falling match's mouvement should be faster and on a few bounces ( 2 would be enough ) sorry for my english, i'm french. tell me if i'm not clear in my words.
