Essentially mari is like, the grub of the ancestor who has belittled and bullied her for a few sweeps before she went independent. Mari wants to dissociate herself away from her ancestor by getting someone to shoddily cut off a part of her horns off and changing her quirk a bit by adding double-letters at the start rather than the end.Idk i havent finished the comic yet but the inspiration for this idea came from meenah
