Zabuza and Haku from Naruto, two people I would have liked to see a lot more of in the series...only they're...dead. *mutter*
Ah well, it hasn't stopped them from having a fan following, and it hasn't stopped me from posting this as I think my first peice of fanart on the Devart Boards. Yes. I know. There's lines here that most people probably would have eraced, there's some smudging, etc etc etc.
It's my picture. It's finished. I like it. Also it looks better IRL. I had to darken the lines so they'd look more clear on here. *shakes fist at the scanner* and it emphasized every single spot my hand got into the graphite.

I've been watching you for a very long time, and I failed to spot this, even as a big fan of these two. Wow, just wow. You are so good at drawing profiles and making something your own, yet keeping it easily recognizable as the two characters. And just everything about this makes me so incredibly happy.

dont you just hate that smudging affect from palms
they reckon you should draw from the shoulder so you dont actually touch the paper and you can do longer lines more smoothly.
i try every now and then but it dosent seem to work for me. nothing beats teh support of a good wrist

Isn't that always how it goes? You get a favorite character(s) in a series and they go and kill them off! Yeeesh. Anyway I really like this pic. Lots of emotion going on here, and the gestures and the facial expressions.

It looks fine...the extra lines actually give it character to me....like it's fading off and leaving the rest to your imagination...I don't know the characters but they look gorgeous as people drawn

I love it when your hand goes over something and smudges stuff 
(I have killed pencils for doing that on days I'm not nice to my tools 
I have a personal hypothesis that automatic pencils smudge more than 'normal' pencils, course I use H7 and F leads and I don't know if they smug or not...anyways
I like it, don't know who they are >.>; but they look really happy together ^^

*hugs her pencils* I unfortunately have expensive taste in pencils. (has some six dollar ones) although fortunately they're very damage resistant because I punch holes in the paper a lot. :sweatdrop:
If I catch the smuding I usualy put a piece of paper down between my hand and the paper, and that helps.

^^ yeah I keep a piece of scrap canvas paper in my sketchbook to lay my hand on or to keep markers from bleeding onto the paper 
what pencils do you use? right now I'm happy with Derwent Graphic's

^_^ I've got an couple of the thick bareled steel Zebra Mechanical Pencils, and a new kind put out by Staedler that has two spots where it holds the lead, so that you can use more of the lead.
