Description
"X-Men: Evolution" Kurt Wagner, aka Nightcrawler. I never liked the original NC, but the E version had some promise."Bamf!"
I'm simply finishing some of the older drawings between the dayjob hours.

Are you kidding? Nightcrawer in Evo sucked! He was nothing at all like ANY of the versions of Nightcrawler. It was like he was a totally different character with the same appearance and abilities. I mean the only similarity in their personality was his sense of humor and his enjoyment to play pranks on others. I mean He clung way to much to his image inducer and was way to depressed all the time. He wasn't religious and he did stupid things to get himself into trouble. I mean if your going to make a show based off of something you shouldn't completely change the characters, it defeats the purpose of calling it X-Men. Same thing with Toad.
Though I do like this pic... ha ha it doesn't look that much like Evo Kurt. He looks more animalistic than anything.
Have you seen Nightcrawer from his own series? He's awsome in that....

True. He was nothing like the way Nightcrawler was supposed to be, but like you said, it's an entirely new character. The same way it's impossible to mistake the new goth Rogue (yuck) for the busty Southerner that she's always been. It's just that I never liked the old Kurt. I didn't hate him, I just didn't particularly like him.
And I must confess, I don't like "Evolution". I hate recons in general. The only good thing there was the Newcrawler's character design, esthetically speaking 
But that lead me to do some pondering on the topic of the Crawler as a new character, mostly something to do with how he would move, what would he do... Well, that's the result.

WOAH, Awesome pic! Amazing work on the blue here, how it's also the background and yet it has contrast with the figure. The shadow making the lines of the wall visible is also a nice touch!!! 
Nightcrawler is one of my favourite characters of X-men!!!

I had this one done at first in a rather hard color scheme, with pitch black shadows, but then settled for this version - you couldn't see his face with the all those black shades... ^.^

Hmm yeah, good choice. Besides, blue calls more to the character, it adds a lot being that he is blue. Would love to see the other version tho. Even with his face hidden, it would look pretty neat. You have an awesome work on pitch black shadows!
