Okay, I just recently finished this *awesome* book by Tamora Pierce (I just adore her books).It's one of her new ones, so I'm not sure how people are aware of it but it is EXCELLENT. It's called Beka Cooper:Terrier, and it's the first in the Provost Dogs trilogy or something. At first I didn't like it too much because the writing style (it's written like a journal) but after a while you realy get into it an dinside Beka's head. And Beka is an awesome character. She has so much kick ass awesomeness it hurts. And Pounce, the kitty, is also awesome. He's so precious.
Anyways, did some fanart, because I love the book so much. You can probably expect some more, sooner or later

No, 'fraid not. I've only read a few of Pierce's series, such I'm not terribly familiar with all the plots she uses. But the ones I have read has very minimal or no dieing involved

Nope, 'fraid not. I've read her Immortals quartet, her Circle of Magic quartert, and most of the Circle Opens quartet (I'm just one book shy of finishing it)

Oh yeah, Daja is easily one of my favourites - especially in "The Circle Opens" quartet (her book is called "cold Fire" I do believe), she just is full of epic win. Briar, though is my ultimate fav. I love him and his intereactions with people around him (and he's a total sweetheart) And he's got some wicked nifty tatoos to boot.

Briar's interesting, Tris's a little cold. Understandabley though. I like Lark too, seems like she'd be easy to get along with.

I Like tris a lot too, there's one scene especially I like with her and it involves the ocean. I think it's in her book -- it should be.
