In Rebellion, Neji is dead but his demise has an impact on Hinata's life for the better. She did not claim the title of leader since she, understand with maturity and time, that was not suited for that position and needed some strong willed and decisive head, for that she did not oppose her sister nor her father decision about the matter. Hinata instead focused on changing the status quo inside the clan with full support from Hanabi, it was there when she meet Ichiro (his future husband) an second branch member.

Their love was not instantaneous, since Hinata took time to full grow up over her childish crush over Naruto. Their love was not flamme, intead it was a tree that they see grow little by little as they worked on and out their clan territory. Since then Hinata is the person who manage all political issues inside their clan and Ichiro gain the thrust of Hanabi to be her personal bodyguard during meetings of all types.
