If you guys recall, I actually posted the final round's work already from this APX Video Game tourny, so you can see why I was really unhappy with it compared to this stuff from the earlier rounds.So yeah, this is another of my favorite old pieces, just because I remember having so much fun doing it. I've never played Xenosaga, but I know X would whoop this chick's butt (and to my knowledge, she has a nice big round one to work with too). This battle also had some sort of chibi theme to it, hence why their proportions are well off. I didn't want the theme to play down the intensity though, and it was a great opportunity to show off X's Gaia Armor. Yes, he would own and you know it!
And for those of you who don't know, X's boots in this armor have big ol' spikes under 'em that you can only kinda see here. So yeah, she's not getting up.

For those who believe X is superior design? NO! Kos-mos is 1 billion years of advance tecnologia, Plus she a fight monster who will destroy X with one blow! X is design to fight ROBOT, NOT space alien, the only thing X got the edge ison armor but Kos-mos a destroy machine who a more superior armor and fire power! in Xenosage is a giant robot name OMEGA who is the most powerful robot ever create but he be pilot but can lose control and in test chamber and shot a beam who will mostly kill the people who come to see the test and Kos-mos a use her own body as a shield to stop the shot, this beam will destroy X and even he survive , he will not survive the next one....well Kos-mos too but Kos-mos can destroy a army of gnosis with only one X-buster and you say X can beat Kos-mos ?! Kos-mos got the hibert effect, with This X lost 35% of all his ability for 24 hour! all the weapon of Kos-mos can easy destroy X and all reploid, OH and she immute to Virus and hack, is what X and other reploid are not, Plus Kos-mos got a human soul in her! Kos-mos got the ether drive who is like Magic and summon the erde kaiser's who can too destroy X, Plus all the ether drive she use can boots her, heal her , what X got? only a amor's and weapon he take from boss who Kos-mos can easy conter it, yes the Ultimate armor + Nova Strike are powerful and can give run to her money but she can easy fond away dodge all his attack! She is composed of entirely mechanical parts, possibly from a superior breed of complex nanomachines, she can auto repaire her self from all the all X domage give her but is not make invincible prove in Xenosaga 3 in the end she lose her two legs and one arm on battle the final battle against gnosis to finish this ones and for all, even X will not Survive this but him his all body will scap and be not possible to know is him and he will be beyond repair, Kos-mos her she can but she need to be fond, her a survive and past only sleep mode to save her last energy! in combat ability, she can Jump far higher then X and Zero, them need to jump to a wall to catch her in race, she run faster, yes X and zero got the dash booster but is still not faster but very useful to dodge all close combat of Kos-mos but she shot them on leg and their legs will blow up, why? is full of gas!, Kos-mos dont have this mistake design, remenber all the weapon of Kosmos can past their armor like is nothing, Kos-mos is far smarter to both of them...well a little too smart if you ask me and her she will not hold back on them, X him will hold back and to talk to her , remenber X is a good heart but this will make him self kill against Kos mos! kos-mos is protect by a force-shield, what X and Zero are Not! here something X and zero can't do, if be try is dead! during re-entry, the Elsa's heat shield begins to disintegrate; KOS-MOS briefly morphs into a powerful being to prevent the Elsa from being destroyed. go tell X can beat someone who can stop a spaceship to disintegrate by heat by use a powerful force-shield, The ship length is 166 meters (roughly 1/10 of a mile) and its weight is approximately 8400 tons. she do this all by her self for the pilot can finally control the ship, ok yes she got domage but she not be destroy, this is why she go be upgrade to Kos-mos v1 to Kos-mos v2, the only version of kos-mos X or Zero can beat is the Proto version know as KOS-MOS Archetype , she nothing but a wild animal but with powerful firepower! Kos-mos v1 to v4 is far to advance then X, the tec X use is old 100 years in the past but Kos-mos use the most advance and she can fond a weak point in X design, what X can't, he need his operator for this but none of the Operator can fond a weak point on her and she block all hacking on her and commication with the maveriack hunter base, she a better war machine then him! Yes need to be Upgrade by the same tec if he want a chance!

To anyone who believes their Xeno-bot should have been the winner of this fight, my advice is stick to your wet-dreams, because that's the only play she's good in.
X is just of superior design. All the Maverick Hunters are. Even Axl, the rookie, could beat her. Against X, the most experienced and powerful Hunter? She stands no chance.
The only robotic being that could challenge X is Zero.

This looks fantastic, fans are getting to worked up about what's happening in the picture and not the art work itself. but if I had to decide a winner I would go with KOS-MOS cuz she is a straight up G

I don't care what others say. I like both characters, they're both powerful, I say they team up and take names. Just a side note, I got chills seeing them and T-ELOS and Zero together in the Project X Zone opening, and even greater chills when KOS-MOS and X did that double shot.

KOS-MOS only loses if she's in her 1st or 2nd frame. 3rd frame would be fairly even, 4th frame she'd stomp him flat.

And Hadouken, Shoryuken (charged up of Rising Fire version, not from X2 version), Plasma charged buster, and Cross X-Buster.
Makes me think that Dr. Light is actually Ryu in his younger days (in X1 or Maverick Hunter X, he even wears Ryu's karate gi)

...and when it's fully charged, the WHATDOYOULIKETOPLAY Barrier works in reverse!

hate to say this (I am a BIG fan of the megaman X series) but anyone who actually has played both MMX and Xenosaga knows that X simply doesn't have enough firepower to take down KOS-MOS. I mean, the woman destroyed 10,000+ enemie battleships in 10 seconds flat, and as awesome as X may be, he isn't equipped to deal with that. Still, the artistry here is very good, and you did make X pretty damn intimidating (even in the Gaia armor, which in the games is kinda dorky looking)

Do you think that's the real X? He's more like the Copy X for me (X's eyes are green). Plus X's true power is actually unknown, based of what kind of armor that he wears (usually Ultimate and Ultimate Mk. II armors are the strongest, but Icarus Armor has the greatest charged up X-buster in MMX history, plus Hermes Armor is the only armor that could make X temporarily invincible with X-Drive).
And I doubt that even those two are met, X would think twice before put a fight.

As to whether it is the real X or not, I can't say, my knowledge of the franchise comes primarily from the Megaman X series, I know little of the Megaman Zero series. Now, It is indeed true that X's true limits are unknown (they say so at the end of every game. They say the same about Zero too) but it really comes down to a limit of technology. Dr. Light simply did not have access to the same level technology when building X that Shion did for KOS-MOS. Same goes for Dr. Wily building Zero. The setting of Xenosaga is set far further in the future, and the technology has developed to a greater degree. X's true power may not be know, but you can extrapolate a vague idea of wear his limits are based on his numerous encounters with an increasingly powerful Sigma, and even the Ultimate armor simply doesn't have even close to the damage output of KOS-MOS' Tertiary Combat System, which was indeed predicted by Nephilim as potentially destroying the entire Milky Way galaxy.

Nice pic but on the matter of who would win I think the only way to solve this is if Capcom shows what Xs weapons can do to the surroundings in a cutscene. However what can be gleaned from some cut scenes across the entire X-series I'd have to say that X is way out of his league against KOS-MOS who can obliterate space battlecruiser size targets and vaporize giant robots in an instant.

Good concept but I don't see this fight happening...ever, so out of character about there stories, X is a passive peacemaking robotic humanoid with a mind of his own and KOS-MOS is a combat android and a defender by programing thus a fight with these artificial heros "to the death" would be impractical on KOS-MOS part and out of character in the kind X's.
The only way I can see this go down is to have all reliance removed from the fight like kos-mos being captured by sigma and given knowledge of X's design and reprogrammed to destroy him. Alternatively X gets the virus and becomes nightmare X who looses all restraint and goes on murder frenzy untill he is confronted by the android and angers him.
Thus neither of the characters would be them in the confrontation and thus there is no point to the issue besides forced issue.
Perhaps I am over-analyzing what was made for fun, both I am a fan of and have had my take on this for some time.

X is an evolving robotic being with a mind of his own and an almost endless power supply,evolutionary potential, and adaptive powers up the ether whom duels some of the most powerful and twisted robotic and artificial beings ever to exist
PLUS-unrestricted energy supply, no programed actions=no restriction of plans, evolves endlessly along the lines of a person, swapable means of combat with elemental powers: most emportant to this cenario is fire and magma to overheat hiss foe to systems failure and electricity to short his foe out
MINUS- Compassion, having no programed restrictions and possessing along the lines of a "human-like soul" leaves the timid X hesitant to pull the trigger and his disdain of war and destruction would likely leave him to lose the will to fight leaving the likelihood of a kill blow to his much less hesitant foe
KOS-MOS-The cold and unfeeling combat android built to destroy one of the greatest threats to all mankind ever encountered and an arsenal of weaponry that can nuke her foes.
PLUS-knowing her reason for existing and fully optimized for it. Weaponry meant for killing and destroying. The mind body and soul of a weapon. A power that could jam her foes sensory and thus leave her foe open for killing blows
MINUS-as reviled in the first episode her energy is limited, thus all X would have to do to be victorious is outlast his primitively powered foe it is also presumable she has a heat limit and her foe is known for diving into a volcano and sheltering inside the liquid rock
Personal verdict X's potential victory is technical Knockout by adversary shutting down due to systematic reasons. KOS-MOS would likely strike a killing blow due to her weapon like mindset and X's emotional capability.
Overall an impressive spectral between a fine example of transcendent robotic evolution vs what a poetic may call a mechanical goddess of war.

You may have played up the characters' personalities a bit much for the argument though. I think we all know that KOS-MOS isn't entirely unfeeling, and X isn't a total pacifist, but it makes for an interesting split.
I could probably imagine a few scenarios, likely involving humans, that could cause these two to see each other as threats. Once that happened, I think the characters would escalate it to a death match pretty quickly. You just can't pick a fight with a dragon and hope to back out half way. X would have to use lethal force to be effective, and KOS-MOS probably couldn't rationalize leaving him active with his destructive potential. At best, someone would just get REALLY messed up at the end!
Their buddies would probably show up to break the fight though. So yeah.

Totally Badass!! Megaman would so kick her butt! Not only does he have a multitude of different weapons, he's got different suits for Maximum offense and defence . While all Kosmos has are weapons designed for large damage to Gnosis not Synthetics or Biologicals.

ok, i might believe this was possible if X was also beat up pretty bad. but for him to get away with pretty much no inguries while KOS-MOS is wreaked? i'm not buying that. in my opinion it'd be a pretty even match between the 2 and i'd actually like to see an even fight between them. also, no matter how many arguments spring up it really doesn't matter because we won't know who'd really win unless it happens, which it's not likely too.

Yeah, none of us can really know who will win in these matchups, especially since the laws of reality vary so much from game to game, even between these two. It's still fun to think about though. It's even more fun when you can put your opinion on paper too.
Seriously though, am I somehow, like, the only guy on DA with a picture containing KOS-MOS where she's not standing around like some swimsuit model? Y'all need to draw her in some fights!
