First of all I would like to say that I really like this work and I love the idea.
In the beginning I would like to mention the down sides of this work. The main factor that decreases the technique in this work is the shadow. The thing about it, is that it is absent. You should add the shadow cast by the foal onto the rocks, as otherwise it deteriorates the impact of the whole image and goes down in quality.
Another down factor are the hid legs. While the rock which they are above is blurred, the legs are in focus. This contradiction plays a bad joke on the image, making it unnatural. My suggestion would be to cut part of the rock, so that the lags would be in the air. This would fix the blurriness issue as well as the issue with the perspective, because it might seem a bit unnatural and feels as if the legs go to the side of the rock, while it is not the case.
And now to the good sides. There is plenty of them!
First the eye. Blue color and the shine are just great! It looks very natural and portrays the foal's personality so well!
The mane and tail look really great too!
What I love a lot about this work is its feeling of naturalism. No special effects and no complicated background. The main focus is maintained on the foal and it is kept down to earth. The realism is what I really love in equine photomanipulations. Making a work magical and sort of "outstanding" is fairly easy with different colors and effects. However, to bring up the magic of a work without portraying it requires some skill. I think you did this very well, and I can sense the whole personality of the foal portrayed so well without any extra additions. This is why I set a Vision criteria so high.
All in all this work attracted my attention from the first glance and my curiosity rose into admiration. Great job!
