My next character reference sheet, this time of Chaos, the youngest of my first trio of shapeshifting siblings. Unlike his two older sisters, Chaos is the only pup who received any of the hellhound appearance or abilities from his grandfather.

As a mix, he isn't nearly as powerful as a pureblood, however he also didn't inherit any of his race's major weaknesses, and therefore has certain advantages over others of his own species that make up for his poor comparison of physical strength when matched next to theirs.

Before his newfound best friend, love and sole companion, Kale, a rather adorable, if very feminine multicolored neon wolfboy (who doesn't belong to me, and is property of Kezze / Miranda / *Jaole ) Chaos had no ties to anyone -- the only people he cared about had either been taken away from him, left of their own accord, or broke their friendship in some way.

I suppose Chae's story really begins during his mid-adolescent years, but there were some events before that which, for the most part, shaped his life and future. At age seven, shortly after their father left, Chaos' second-oldest sister was abducted, due to insufficiently hiding her animal-like attributes in her human form, and being tricked into using their species' shapeshifting ability in public.

Distraught and plagued by grief from the loss of her daughter, especially so soon after her husband's departure, Chae's mother had forbidden him and his eldest sister to act on their first impulses: to go after their stolen family member, or at least to search for her captors' whereabouts.

Chaos reluctantly obeyed, and after unsuccessfully trying to seek vengeance on the other party to blame for his sister's capture -- those who had tricked her into revealing herself in the first place -- he eventually made up his mind to take matters into his own hands..or paws, as the case may have been.

Leaving the town he had grown up in, he began on what he had no idea would be a four-year journey of sleeping outdoors, hunting his own food and only managing to acquire new clothing by either stealing it or pickpocketing money to buy it with.

To make a very long story reasonably shorter, only a few months into his quest, he met up with a boy who would eventually become his kidnapped sister's best friend, murdered the man who was making said boy's life a living hell, burnt down their house in the process, and went on his way, alone once more, not knowing that had he stuck around, he might have been reunited with the sibling he had been searching for.

As it was, it took him years to trace his sisters' captors' location back to the boy's home town, and by the time he broke into the remains of the facility that had taken her, she and half of the other supernaturals they had captured had either broken out or been caught in the crossfire and killed.

Once he had tortured this information out of what was left of the reconstructing staff, he had become a major target on their list -- more than just to capture to study and train, but because of the damage he had caused by actually performing an assault on them, instead of what had always been the other way around.

While Chaos was more than a match for a few stray faculty members, he found that he was far from up to the task of standing up to the full force of the facility's more skilled dispatch teams, and ever since has been avoiding them rather than fleeing from them, reluctant to harm his fellow supernaturals who have been enslaved and are acting against their wills, but often finding little choice when it becomes his freedom weighed against their lives.

Over the years, Chaos' personality has been somewhat altered for him by the events he experienced, yet overall, he's still the same person he was when he grew up and left town, when he desperately begged his mother to let him go after yet another missing relative, and when their pack was complete and he still had a family. Unlike some, he was fortunate enough to retain most of his sense of who he was, and who he always had been.

Chaos has always been fairly quiet, almost to the point of being shy and even feeling out of place at times. He hates pointless conflict and absolutely despises it when those he cares about argue with one another, especially over things he considers of little importance.

As a precaution of being a hellhound, he has a very fiery temper with which he is constantly struggling to keep under control. On the rare occasion that it gets the best of him, he has found that he goes into an all-out rage, though as of yet, has been fortunate enough to still be careful about distinguishing between those who are on his side and those who aren't.

Unlike many of his kind, which find themselves so consumed by fury that they no longer notice nor care who they attack -- until the situation is over, and they have calmed down enough for the full aftermath of their actions to dawn on them -- Chaos has always found that he, as a hybrid with only a diluted form of the hellhound genes, has never lost complete control like this, yet deep down, remains scared senseless that he some day might.

This said, despite his honest lack of interest in frequent violence, he can be absolutely vicious if one of his close friends are threatened or harmed -- in fact, this is usually the only way to get him angry enough to fight, as he will nearly always refuse challenges otherwise, despite how badly he gets taunted or baited.

He is very loyal to the point of becoming reckless and even foolish, and he never hesitates to throw himself in harm's way if it is to protect those he cares about, and would willingly give his life in a heartbeat for the very few people he truly loves.

...Well. That was long winded. xD Hope those of you who actually read through this all enjoyed learning about my little devil dog pupper. ^^
