Thoughts of you racing
Like the beat of my heart
Knowing I loved you
right from the start

Compassion and promise
are gifts shared with you
given with honesty
and friendship that's true

Though miles can separate
The ache is still real
I long to hold you
Too see and to feel

My dream to be reality
Place me by your side
No need for pretence
Nothing to hide

Love can be found
so pure and sweet
Pressed in our hearts
Not destined to meet

Just close your eyes
And feel I am there
Know of my love
and that I do care
