Sadly didnt read it all, but it was a great manga, if there was maybe a bit of 'darkening' of vedic era hinduism and all (buddhist work, after all..).
A great explanation of Buddha, Buddhism and all, thought.

i've read this series, and I think it's epic and a powerful story. the fictional elements that Tezuka added to the Buddha's life serve to make him more relateable as a person; suffice to say that I really enjoyed the manga :3

I love the pic of the Buddha sitting infront of the Bodhi Gaya (Bodhi Tree). I'm Buddhist and i know most of his life, Tezuka's story is fictional so the Buddha wasn't hit by an arrow okay people....lol
