Description Getting back into porting, trying a new way to port them, by using GMD studio to export them as DAE, then open the dae in 3DSMax, then export it as FBX, then in Noesis, export them to generic_item.mesh. Then loading them, resizing them to 0.00032 to get accurate sizes, then making a bonedict, as the bones are named differently then simply using the 3DSMax plugin. It seems to get rid of errors that the script in 3DSMax created with bones, but not sure on that yet.

These are NPC models, therefore very limited bones, have jaw bones and eyeball bones, but they move the entire eyes including eyelids, so probably best as background characters or whatnot. Also included the volleyball because why not! No requests. I ain't in hte mood for requests anymore. Also, the bones are all renamed, but some might not work perfectly, as Boy 4 spine lower moves his legs too, and neck lower moves the neck, these are the in-game bones, unedited by me. Still, hope you like.

Oh, and next model is my 400th model release, well including packs and the like. That's neat!

I do not own any models or characters featured in this work.

I wonder, what are the weight issues you've encountered? O.o

None really with this method. I suspect you'll still need to reparent the arms and legs on main character models since that is just how they work, but otherwise none when I did them like this.

I did found some models having no weights on certain parts when saving them directly from 3dsmax to fbx. But those were easy to fix. I'll try out your method from now on to see if it makes a difference

Yeah, that's why  Itried this method, to see if it fixes stuff. Also some Personas (like that woman with the snake, that in 3DSMax has the snake completely seperate with no rigging) is now properly positioned and rigged. So it helps with certain models that have major issues like that.

This is very cool, thank you for sharing. The resizing part sounds complicated. Could you infer that value from other data or did you have to compare these to your previous models?

Had to compare it. Took a bit of time to figure it out, the models load into XPS absolutely huge. xux

Yeah, if 0.00032 was the final value I can imagine how much testing that needed. I think it's great you took the time to do that to ensure these models fit with the others.
