Tim heaved a sigh as he sat on the couch, the only sound in the air was the ticking of the clock. His head was in a whirlwind of thoughts as he stared at the fire place and at the small specks of ashes that coated underneath the fresh set if logs that were placed inside. Just waiting to be used. Jay was asleep in one of the rooms in the back and his father had once again stepped out. It was still strange, meeting his father and the sister he never knew he had.

As for Lia, the young brunette was off somewhere in the house. The sun had long since set and little speckles of stars scattered across the night sky. With a slight grunt, Tim heaved himself up off the couch, his body stumbling a bit as he held his arms out to balance himself. As he sucked in a deep breath he headed towards the front door and stepped out into the night. Basking in the cool breeze that blew through the air.

He took a seat on the porch steps and stared out into the woods. His head throbbed at all he had learned about his father and about the sister he never knew. He brought his hands up and tiredly rubbed his eyes. He removed his hands when his ears perked up and he heard the front door open and gently close before someone took a seat beside him. Looking to the side, he found Lia just sitting there. Strands of her hair flew around from the wind while her deep brown eyes stared out into the woods.

She didn't speak a word as she placed her hands underneath her knees and rocked back and forth a little. Tim straightened himself and scooted to the side as he looked out into the woods as well before his eyes were drawn to the sky. The stars shined brightly up in the sky, some of them even twinkling. "Calming, isn't it?" he heard Lia whisper as she flickered her gaze upwards as well. Tim didn't say a word as his lips were pulled into a straight line. His heart beating heavily in his chest as he found himself becoming slightly nervous as he didn't know what to say.

"I really wanted to meet you, you know? After learning about you, I just had too meet someone blood related to me" Lia mumbled as she let her gaze wander back towards the forest. "You and dad, I just wanted a family" she breathed out as she pulled her legs up and rested her chin on her knees. Her eyes fluttering shut as she hummed lowly.

"You had a family, the people who adopted you" Tim mumbled back, neither of them wanting to speak up. Lia chuckled a little as her lips twitched up into a small smile.

"True, but that doesn't mean I still didn't want to have a family with you guys" she responded back. She leaned to the side, resting her head against Tim's shoulder, causing him to tense up. For a minute the brunette didn't move an inch as his shoulders were sticking straight up and every muscle in his body was tense. After awhile he felt himself relax, his heartbeat slowing down to a normal pace as he leaned his head on top of Lia's. He felt his lips twitch upwards a little as his gazed stayed focused on the stars.

The air around the two was peaceful and quite pleasant. It was better than what it had been for Tim these past few days and he found that he didn't want this moment to end. He glanced to the side when he heard soft breathing and gave a breathless chuckle when he found Lia asleep. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was light as she released soft snores. The brown haired male let his lips twitch upwards as he let his eyes droop and fell into a peaceful sleep as well.

Soft footsteps headed towards the hunting lodge as a tall brown haired man made his way home. He stopped just a couple of feet near the porch steps and let a small smile grace his lips as he saw his two children fast asleep and leaning against one another. A peaceful look gracing both their features as well as small smiles.
