Courtney sighed as she sat out on the porch of the Slender Mansion, her eyebrows furrowed as she drew her legs close to her chest and wrap her arms around them. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she tried her best to control her uneven breathing, oh how she hated those two. She detests the two, Jeff and Diablo, they both just knew how to get on her nerves. It felt so constricting inside the mansion that she had to leave. She needed this burst of fresh air to calm her.

Her once red eyes were slowly turning back into their normal baby blue color as they fluttered upwards towards the night sky. The way the stars twinkled across the navy-blue sky did wonders in causing her thundering heart to slow down to a normal pacing. Slowly her breathing soon followed as it returned to normal and she was left in a peaceful and calming state. Resting her chin on her knees, she felt her lips twitched upwards into a small smile as she continued to look upwards. She almost didn’t catch the sound of the front doors opening behind her.

She turned her head to the side to look back towards the double wooden doors, a light pink dusting over her cheeks when she caught sight of the male that stood there with his hands in his hoodie pockets. He stood there awkwardly, raising one hand to give a slight wave as he stared at Courtney through the pitch-black holes of his mask. “Mind if I join you out here?” he questioned as he motioned to the open space beside her.

“I don’t mind” Courtney said softly as she turned her attention back up to the night sky. Her heart once again pounding in her chest as she listened to E.J’s soft footsteps walking towards her. From the corner of her eye she watched as he sat down beside her. “What are you doing out here?” she quietly asked, shifting a bit so that she put a little distance between the two of them.

“Not sure myself, just needed some fresh air I guess” E.J said as he shrugged his shoulders and looked upwards. It was hard to tell what the male was feeling now, if he was irritated or bothered by something that had happened inside. His mask always did a wonderful job at concealing his emotions as did his voice. Courtney didn’t say much, swiping a few strands of hair away from her face as she put all her attention back towards the sky. “What are you doing out here?”

Courtney flinched as the silence that had started to settle between the two of them was quickly interrupted. “Oh, same as you I guess. Just needed to get some fresh air” she responded. ‘And away from those two idiots’ she thought to herself but chose not to speak her thoughts out loud. Once again it grew silent between the two of them as they both shifted around in thought. ‘Say something’ her thoughts whispered to her as she sneaked a quick peak at the eyeless fellow beside her.

His attention seemed to be focused upwards towards the sky or at least that’s what it seemed like, once again it was difficult to tell with that mask of his. The brunette’s eyes lit up as she thought up something to say, her lips tugging back into a gentle smile as she straightened her posture. “It’s such a beautiful night out tonight, isn’t it?” she questioned, only to furrow her brows together in confusion when she received a chuckle in response.

“Funny, shouldn’t I be the one saying that in this type of situation?” E.J asked, turning his attention towards her and peering into her baby blue eyes with his empty sockets. Courtney couldn’t help but blush at that as she turned her head forward so her gaze looked out towards the forest instead at the male beside her. Her cheeks were warm as she became a quiet blubbering mess, tangling up her words with one another as she tried to form a coherent sentence. Why did she always end up this way around this man? He was a good friend, yet she knew she wanted more than just his friendship. The wings on her back finally started to move as they flapped slightly at her nervous and embarrassed state taking her by surprise as she had forgotten about them.

“Sorry!” she quickly exclaimed when one of her wings had almost hit E.J, who leaned out of the way. Having also almost forgotten she had those as well, maybe because of how well them blended in with the night. There was very little light out here to begin with and the moonlight only barely illuminated them, so it was natural that he would have forgotten about them. As well as Courtney who was so use to having them.

“It’s quite alright” E.J reassured, laughing as he straightened his posture once again and leaned back onto his hands. His head tilting back as he looked back up towards the sky once again. “But I’ll agree with you, the night sky is quite beautiful especially when its calm and peaceful outside” he responded. Courtney sighed, looking to the side at her crush, she found it hard to enjoy the night sky with him around. Yet at the same time he made it better, it felt more calming with him here than it did when she was by herself. Closing her eyes for a minute, she looked back up and let them flutter back open so she could stare at the sky in peace.

The way the stars twinkled in and out, their bright lights dotting and smearing across the navy blue sky captured such a beautiful and peaceful scenery that drew both her and E.J in. Both basking in the beauty of the moment and in each other’s company as they started to subconsciously lean in closer to each other. The brunette wrapped one of his arms around Courtney’s shoulder while she rested her head against his shoulder, their attention still focused upwards. It wasn’t long before a yawn slipped past Courtney’s lips as her eyes started to droop downwards and soon after she felt herself falling into a peaceful sleep. E.J shifted a bit before he rested his head on top of the brunette’s a small smile spreading across his lips from underneath his mask.

“Star gazing with you is quite peaceful, I hope we can do it again sometime soon” he mumbled more to himself than to the sleeping girl as he started to drift off as well. Neither of them took notice to the sound of the front door creeping open as the other residents in the mansion peered out at the two sleeping figures cuddled up to one another with wide grins across their lips. Soon giggles and shushes broke through the air as the door creaked back shut. But that didn’t bother the two as they only cuddled closer to one another and continued to sleep.

A/N: I really hope you like it, it's a bit difficult writing request with other people's OC's and I do hope you aren't too mad if I accidentally portrayed the character wrong in anyway. It's a nice OC and your drawing of her is very beautiful, again I hope you like the story.
