Description A character for an RP that I've been meaning to get into. He's a human/plant hybrid. More details to come.

Oo, how interesting. =O What rp are you trying to get into?

It's really nice, I like the rough feel to it. The only thing I can suggest is a little more tree and a little less human. x3 But you know how I am with anthros~.

Thanks. And I've been trying to come up with a new concept for the Kingdom of Yaoi RP on y!Gallery. But I could try to use him elsewhere, more'n likely. Although honestly, the core of this concept is pretty old, but this is a very new take on it.

I can see how being more tree-like would be good for him, but I don't wanna make him too anthro because of y!Gallery's bizarre ToS.

Eh? Do they ban anthros or something? x.o?

But you should totally tweak his design! One major reason I like drawing anthros cause it allows me to work on different ways of presenting the human form. ^^ Very stylized~. And it keeps you from drawing the same thing over and over again.

Yeah, they do. But just furries. Most mythological hybrids seem to be acceptable. *shrug* Weirdness.

Well, I'm curious to hear what you recommend for Verdi. What would you suggest?

Whats the definition of "furry" any way. Like, what I draw or people with animal parts (ears, tails, what have you)?

And as for Verdi~. Mostly if not of your people are very round and fluffy. While trees are round, quite round in some cases, they're more ridged. So taking some liberties on Verdi will really help add dimension to your style. ^^
What I mostly suggest is rougher features. Sharper angles in the face, or maybe a longer face. More defined shoulders, perhaps, or sharper elbows. I would imagine his body to be stocky like it is now, perhaps a longer torso, but leaner and longer arms?

Hmm . . . Those do sound like reasonable changes. Perhaps I'll try to implement them in future drawings of him. Thank you for your thoughts, I always appreciate your input.

And here's the section of their ToS:

Works containing non-human (including anthropomorphic and animal) characters in a featured or central position are not allowed in the main gallery, EXCEPT:

* All works submitted before 15 October 2006
* Kemonomimi, which are normal humans with a few minor animal features added. Typical kemonomimi additions are animal ears, tails, fangs, wings, whiskers, small horns, claws, and paws. Non-human skin colour is also OK.
* Mythological creatures with predominately human characteristics, such as fauns, nagas, centaurs, etc.
* Fantasy creatures, such as elves, driders, orcs, dwarves, angels, devils, vampires, faeries, etc.
* Tentacles from the formless void

I wonder if it's against the rules for me to post this? Oh, well.

lol, it's against the rules to tell people the rules!! -Oh well~.

I think since trees are not animals and they are actually mythical beings that are trees/humans, it should be fine.

Sapsorrow...I've heard that name before. Isn't it the name of a person in a really old fairytale? His green hair and root feet are really coot. ^^

Thanks, I was hoping his look would work.

And it is, one of the Grimm ones. A young princess called upon to marry a king who happens to be her father. Messy stuff. Totally unrelated, beyond the name.
