Description I-1200s are bio mechanical drones used as general purpose drones by the Xollos Federation Swarm Guard.

First entering service in the 0480s, I-1200s can be easily grown on mass at a relatively cheap cost, at six months to grow into a full adult and a additional week for implants to be installed. This accelerated growth does means that drones only have a effective life span of at most ten years, though this hardly matters as their average life expectancy on the battlefield is far below that of their natural one, and when not in use they can be placed in cryo stasis.

In terms of intelligence the I-1200s are non sapient with animal level intelligence. Like all Swarm Guard creatures, they are directed and coordinated by a Xilloras hivemind but are capable of operating with a limited amount of autonomy if the connection is somehow severed. The brain of the drone is actually split between several different units in the body, one in the head to process sensory inputs and two in the body that handles the rest. This makes the creature rather difficult to take out with a single shot and it can even survive decapitation for a short amount of time.

The primary ranged weapon of the creature is implanted into its lower right arm, and a cybernetic socket allows it to be removed and switched out for a variety of other weapons and modules. The weapon depicted here is a belt fed fully automatic 6mm railgun along with a 45mm grenade launcher. In addition to this the Drone is equipped with a laser cutter on its left arm which can be used at close range along with its claws and teeth. Its primary gun can be 'hip fired' at low power at close ranges but when engaging targets at longer ranges at full power it needs to be gripped with one of its other arms to handle the recoil.

Although I-1200s are omnivorous their preferred source of food are specialized high energy rations due to their energy intensify weapons systems, though they can also be recharged electrically via a port located on their back. It is also rather common for drones to cannibalize other fallen swarm creatures on the battlefield.
