I can't remember the last time I actually did (and finish) a colored work. The reason is that I'm unfamiliar within that area of expertise and it takes a long time experimenting how to get the right shadows, cast shadows, reflected lights, and etc. Usually I would get to a point where I would completely stop working on it and on some rare occasion I'll get lucky and have something near decent and willing to finish.

I actually had quite some fun working on the background, which is peculiar because I don't like working with them. I just took one of my old drawings and decided to color it. I thought it would be interesting to color because there's light coming from the moon and from the lanterns. At one point I just gave up being 'correct' with the lighting and just went for the 'as-long-as-it-looks-ok' technique.

The person on the bottom right I just kinda got tired and just wanted to finish. So I went into good ol' Photoshop and gave it some effects to push him out of the picture.

Anyways, it's been a long night.... I think I'm going to challenge myself more with coloring. Goooo me!
