I blame Iku~ She's the only one that I know of that can use lightning (truth be told, I'm surprised they didn't do this in the game, but then again, they'd have to do it for like every single one of Iku's attacks).

I think it's stated that she has regeneration. Not sure though...vampires tend to regenerate anyways IIRC.
