Rumors of the 7th Circle run amuck around Thrasher Tech space…do they even exist? For a long time it was believed that this bloody cult was a myth. Only recently has their existence been confirmed but the organization still is shrouded in secrecy. For those unlucky enough to be targeted by the cult, they will face fanatics piloting the Dante Model Mech, and it would be wise to pray for deliverance.

The Dante’s origins are unknown but it is likely created by Thrasher Tech. The pilots who wield this mech are disturbed and violent, and their nature is reflected in the hardware they pilot. The Dante Mechs most distinct feature is actually a lack of key features deemed essential in all other Mechs. The Dante has very little shielding around its Nuclear Core, allowing its heat and radioactivity to spill out. Because of this the entire Mech is superheated. The cockpit and weapon systems are the only protected portions of the Mech, but should the cockpit be breached in any manner the pilot would be doomed. Essentially is an extremely high risk high reward design for a Mech. Critical systems are always under an increased risk of failure due to this design, but by not restricting the nuclear core for the sake of a trivial thing like safety the Dante can squeeze every ounce of energy that the core can produce.

To the Mech Smiths credit they clearly took into account the hazards of such a set up and tampered the Dante’s design to mitigate some of the risks. The internal circuitry and mechanical parts are reinforced and come with redundant parts in case one should fail. Also, knowing that nearly any damage to the hull would be catastrophic, they designed the Mech to rely heavily on shields. As such it has a grade 3 energy shield, and a backup grade 1 energy shield should the first shield fail. Essentially if the shields on this Mech is broken the pilot is 1 or 2 hits away from curtains.

The Dante wields plasma generators as its primary weapons, adding to its fiery potential. Plasma is an extremely lethal and versatile weapon, as it can be molded into nearly any shape such as a sword, shot out like a flame thrower, or formed into balls and thrown. Plasma projectors draw a lot of power but are so strong and versatile that they cover most bases. The downside of plasma is that it is a slow projectile and is therefore most effective at short range. For long range engagements the Dante has a heavy laser imbedded in its forehead.

Most sane pilots would never get into the cockpit of a Dante but for the 7th Circle this Mech perfectly reflects their lack of self regard and destructive nature.
