So here's a little story. One Saturday my mom, bro, and I went to the beach because my mom's friend was celebrating her birthday. We had fun of course, swimming and eating and taking advantage of free wifi (lol) and that night (we had slept over) I decided to rid myself of boredom and actually draw something.

This started out as something random. I didn't realize I was drawing Karkat until I started on the hair. Then I shrugged to myself and just continued drawing. It was surprisingly easy too, once I did a little research on his hairstyle. Then viola! Little Karkitty appeared on the pages of my notebook! :3

I also discovered something about my drawing style that night. Usually when I try to draw something original without any copying, I go by the book and use the "circle and cross-hairs as guidelines" technique. But I realized that I draw easier if I started with the chin first then work my way up with that. I'm going to start drawing like that from now on. My works will probably look better that way, lol.

I also drew John Egbert right after finishing Karkat. Both took under half an hour to finish. It was a real confidence booster for me. X3
