I never really like the Superman comic books with his laughable costume and ridiculous back story, I do love the Smallville tv series though cause its more realistic and believable approach.
Doomsday is the only thing i love from the Superman mythos, primarily cuz he killed Superman, which I like hehe, he should do it more often.

interesting interpretation, though i still prefer doomsday as this big dumb unpredictable mass that simply fell to earth with no explanation and leveled metropolis swinging superman like a baseball bat.
superman's brain-power villain has always been lex luthor. doomsday was a nice change of pace. big, dumb, careless, tough as shit, unpredictable, no regard for collateral damage.
superman's outfit was designed in an era where spats and zoot suits were still reasonably acceptable. sure, it needed updated, but the franchise thrived on the nostalgia of the outfit for almost 60 years. we needed an american comic hero to stick it to germany.

I really like this! I am a HUGE fan of big blue. Have been since I was a kid. Lost interest in my late teens, but the Death of Superman storyline got me back into comics & Superman again. Doomsday is the most ruthless & destructive enemy that Superman will ever face. He killed Superman afterall! That alone cements him forever as the baddest Mutha F*cka around! I will always be partial to the Big Brute style of Doomsday. In my opinion, if someone comes along with the power to kill The Man Of Steel....he better be one big SOB!

Its a tight picture. I liked the smallville costumes myself because their more believeable yet they still have the comic undertone to them. Great job on the excellent piece of work.
