Description
With October comes Inktober, and as such, I’m getting in on it this time with this year’s most notable advancement in Ink-related culture, Splatoon!
Every day in October on both here and my Sketchbook tumblr , this will be updated with a small piece based on Inklings, Octarians, weapons, or the world of Inkopolis in general!
----------
Day 1: Starting small, but significant with my primary Inkling OC, Trace, and his weapon, the Samurai Splattershot!
Day 2: My other primary Inkling OC, Hex, joins her brother with her favorite weapon, the Rocket Roller!
Day 3: The last of my main trio, the turncoat Octoling, Eight, along with her trusted ShadowEye Rifle!
Day 4: Two-for-one today, as what Splatoon collection would be complete without both of the Squid Sisters: Callie and Marie!
Day 5: Something that isn't an Inkling or Octo for once; everyone's favorite (and only) referee for Ink Battles: Judd!
Day 6: We’re getting into the proprietors of the Booyah Base this time, and it starts with Sheldon, owner of the arms shop Ammo Knights!
Day 7: The Booyah Base group continues as we complete a week’s worth of Inktober work with the proprietor(s) of Cooler Heads: Annie (and Moe)!
Day 8: And we now get to the choice that is best for the selling of the body cloth from the store of Jelly Fresh: Jelonzo!
Day 9: We wrap up the Booyah Base group with the owner of Shrimp Kicks: Crusty Sean! (Fun fact: that tempura coating of his is actually just a fancy jacket!)
Day 10: On the shadier side of Inkopolis Plaza, we have the sort-of-maybe-but-not-really-trustworthy(?) gear dealer and customizer: Spyke!
Day 11: In an even shadier corner of Inkopolis Plaza hides the last line of defense against the possible Octarian uprising: Cap’ Cuttlefish!
Day 12: Beyond Cuttlefish’s cover grate lies a danger unknown to Inkopolis at large, the Octarians, and their main infantry grunts: the Octotroopers!
Day 13: Since I’ve gotten through most of the official characters, I’m going off on my own a bit with a few new weapon ideas, starting with Estelle and her weapon, the Shooting Star Splatling!
Day 14: Decked out in White Trainers, White Arrowband glasses, and the White Inky Rider, Shirow and his Achroma Inkbrush take to the Splatfield!
Day 15: Joining her crewmates Shirow and Estelle is Hana, a big schoolgirl with her even BIGGER Lob-Star Blade!
Day 16: Decided to take it easy for today after a long week with the ink-swimming forms of Inklings AND Octolings!
Day 17: “Kiiiiii-SHOOOOOOM!!!” That sound and the Inkstrike that accompanies it has put the fear of Squid-God into many an Inkling, and today’s entry is part of the reason why: The Octostriker!
Day 18: Last one on the right side for a while: The Wandering Samurai, Takomaru, and his weapon, the Carbon Roller!
Day 19: The Pro-est of Inkopolis's pro gamers, Kevin joins the group with his S-Scope 6!
Day 20: Kevin's girlfriend Lana takes to the battlefield with her reconstructed, repurposed, and really dangerous R.O.B. Roller!
Day 21: With the Zapfishes that power Inkopolis, they have more than the necessary 1.21 Gigawatts needed to enjoy this Back To The Future Day!
Day 22: One of my personal favorite special weapons next to the Inkstrike; It's time to release....The Kraken!
Day 23: Once, a four-star sushi chef, now a five-star Ink Battler: Kenji, with his Traditional garb, and Bamboozler 14 Mk 1!
Day 24: Short in size, short on work ethic, but unmatched in dreams of world domination: The Squid Girl (or at least a really good cosplayer of her). wielding the Main Slosher!
Day 25: What may be the biggest part of this work: the first of the Great Octoweapons to battle against the Agents: The Mighty Octostomp!
Day 26: We're on the last week of Inktober, but it's not even close to over yet! Today's entry: an idea for close range weaponry, the Inkline Skates, rocked by the champion of the Inkopolis Girls' Martial Arts Tournament Circuit: Lisa!
Day 27: The OTHER of my close-range combat ideas: The Ink Stamp Knuckles, which would involve using ink for things like Qi bursts and hadokens; by that logic, the one wearing them is also a martial arts champion: Max!
Day 28: If there's still a Detroit somehow in the Splatoon world, this would be its poster boy: Mike, who carries a double-edged version of the Lob-Star Blade known as the Burner Staff!
Day 29: No one knows what enigmatic, battle-scarred visage lies beneath that Power Armor; all anyone really knows is that it does NOT look all that comfortable to walk around in, much less battle with...
Day 30: The mightiest and maddest of the Octarian forces, DJ Octavio, finally takes the stage with his Octobot King!
Day 31: This is it! The end of October, and the end of Inktober, and I'm capping it off with the customary chorus of Calamari County: said to be the most powerful song of the Splatoon world!
Finally, my grand Inktober vision for 2015 is complete! What did you all think of seeing it grow day-by-day?
