Description I planed this a loooooong looooong time ago ...

Here you see the Gambits from the X-Men series 90's TAS, Evolution and Wolverine and the X-Men.
I think, it looks OK (at least for my first try of Evo Gambit and his counterpart from Wolvie and the X-Men )

Hope you like it, too ^^

This is good, but still Gambit from the 90's was the best, he was in almost every episode.

thank you very much!
And I totally agree with you 90s Gambit was the best of all (the 90s show is still my NĀ°1 fav X-Men show)
It was confusing for me to see Gambit as a henchman of Magneto in Evo X-Men and unfortunately, in Wolverine and the X-Men, they didn't give him much screentime
I hope, Gambit will have a bigger role in the new X-Men anime at least

Hope they do,& this time make more episodes, for example, Wolverine & the x men had only 26 episodes,it was getting good but they cut it too short.

Thank you soooo soooo much!
Glad you like it, since I haven't submitted much of X-Men work yet

It's actually funny and also sad to see Gambit's character changing so much... In the 90s, he was an X-Men (even mentioned that loud and clear in the eppy "X-Ternally Yours": I'm not a thief or an assissin - I'm an X-Men!") and well, I grew up with a Gambit being the good guy. Then suddenly in Evolution, they turned him into a henchman of Magnetos' and making him a member of the Brotherhood. I was really confused, when I saw Remy with Magneto, when I watched the Evolution show for the first time And in "Wolvie and the X-Men", he's totally neutral and does some jobs here and there for this Doctor O_o Not really the Gambit I know, but he's still a OK character for me

(sorry for late reply.. )
and no big!!!!! and your xmen work is always neat! i love it, your xmen work is pretty much the only xmen work i look at (unless i accidently stumble upon someone else's... lol )

wwoooaaahhhhh that's so werid that they changed him THAT drastically!! its a sad and interesting process how producers can change a character SOO much.. i mean.. kids today might not even know that Joker used laughing gas, that he smiled, played with toys and laughed! so sad.... at the same time... the transition from Adam West Batman to the cartoon, or even Tim Burton Batman, was pretty okay with me (exluding the last two.... *shudders at the memory of the costume and actors* )

No prob I'm late with my reply, too
Wow! Thankies for the compliment and your nice words about my X-Men works I sooo appreciate it

Yes, it's really sad and interesting to see, when characters get changed so drastically O_o Not that Gambit always was a saint - I mean, he's a thief after all - BUT he was first a good guy, then the producers turned him into an anti-hero Ah well ...
And I also agree with you about the Joker's changing here
I like the Burton Joker and the Mark Hamil's Joker very much - long before Ledger Joker appeared (and I like that Joker, too, even if I never could get along with his hair style and the fact, that he painted his face instead of being white because of an acid accident ). The Adam West Joker always looked a little too silly to me So I'm glad, Burton and Timm brought us a different Joker in character Nolan's Joker is a further changed character, in my opinion ... more fitting for the days of today, so to speak

no problem!!!! and i completely meant it!!!!!!

and it is so oddd... and Gambit is a really neat character0 it makes you wonder why the people involved with the creative process chose to change him THAT much...........
and Joker is so strange! I love the Jack Nicholson joker best i think... then the Hamil version hahahahahaha awwhhh the adam west joker!!!!!!! i can't stop laughing at him
and Nolan's joker.. hrmm... well im glad that you like it! i duno. i feel like today's times needs less depressing reminders of what the world is, and we need something- someone to just laugh at it all, while pointing out the jokes (but we have some comedians doing that already i suppose... ? ) lol it reminds me of Cyrano De Bergerac- the people were into realism/depressing realism. then Cyrano comes outand it is romantism to make the ppl feel happy again

Okay, my first Marvel show was Spiderman, but although the show is awesome, I was never really fanatic in it So X-Men was my very first interest introduction in Marvel, too, if you will

They all look awsome.

Matter of fact, I'm wondering what became of Wolverine and the X-men Gambit. I couldn't tell if they left him stranded in the ocean, or imprisoned him again...

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

xero87 In reply to Flashshadow [2011-07-19 20:47:39 +0000 UTC]

I think, Evo Gambit looks a little different ... at least he did to me, when I first saw him in Evolution XDD
But all in all, they do look awesome

Yes! That's a good question ... hmmm I would say, Gambit could escape from Magneto, but still stranding in the ocean somewhere
What I missed in the "Wolverine and the X-Men" show, were the RogueXGambit moments
*those two are my fav Marvel couple*

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Flashshadow In reply to xero87 [2011-07-19 21:24:48 +0000 UTC]

Same here. It would've been awsome to see them together. And Gambit's anti-hero status would've made an interesting new perspective on their romance.

Although, I had to admit his brief oneshot with Polaris was nice while it lasted.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

xero87 In reply to Flashshadow [2011-07-22 20:26:26 +0000 UTC]

I so agree with you! Well ... maybe there would have been some RogueXGambit moments in the 2nd season, but the animators had to decide to cancel the show after the first season -.- Very bad decision, in my opinion The animation style isn't my favorite though (compared to the 90s TAS), but it would have been cool to see more of the X-Men

Yes, it was a nice shot with Gambit and polaris in that eppy ^^ Pretty mean of Gambit to hurt her at the end and didn't take her with him Ah well, Polaris got her revenge, when she sank his boat *lol*

Flashshadow In reply to xero87 [2011-07-22 21:33:53 +0000 UTC]

Indeed. They left the show on a huge cliff-hanger.
And I agree I did enjoy the classic style alot more.
