We all know how Karai acted to the 80s Shredder in "Turtles Forever". So my guess is, 2012 Karai wouldn't react much different.And the resultat of that thought gave me the idea to this pic
Poor Shredder ... his thought about being lucky never having a child (or daughter) is more than understandable
Therefor he has Kraang, Bebop and Rocksteady

I never forgot what Shredder was like in the '80s series. He was funny. (It was of course a kids' show back then, before it got a little more serious.) I remember Karai was never featured in any of the '80s episode, unless I'm wrong. The closest I think there was, was that woman they called Lotus.
The two Karais do have some common ground with each other. They're not like their "ruthless, scumbag" fathers. I've been watching that "Turtle Nation" thing that's been going on, on Nicktoons Network and I've loved a lot of episodes I've missed out on.

Yes, 80's Shredder was gold! 
And you're right! There was no Karai in the original, because she was created way later in the comics. So Lotus was kind of a pre-idea of Karai.
I liked 2003 Karai more than 2k12 Karai. She became good for a short time, but then turned weird again and the idea of mutating her is also a negative point to me 
BUT I gotta say, in 2k12 they showed the relationship between Leo and Karai waaay better

I loved the 80s "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"; you can never beat the classics sometimes. Shredder was funny in the old series. Especially having to put up with Bebop and Rocksteady everywhere they went.
I had a feeling the character Lotus had to be the inspirational character Karai. They both have some common ground because 80s Leo and 2012 Leo both had a crush on them, and knew good had to exist inside them.
I've caught up with the 2003 TMNT series, and I have seen some episodes with Karai. She's still loyal to Shredder, yet she covers for the Turtles. I believe the other reason Karai is loyal to Shredder is I believe she's scared of him. Who wouldn't be?
I agree that a lot of mutations have been happening in the new series. What else is new? I hope Casey doesn't get caught in that kind of a situation.
Plus, I hope they can save Karai... again.
I heard that in the upcoming of the next Season, there will be a new kind of invaders the Turtles will be facing.

Yes, I totally agree! The classics are mostly unbeatable. There are some remakes, I also love to watch, but the originals are always in the first place!
Shredder was the best in that show! Especially when he had to team up with Bebop + Rocksteady 
So I guess, you haven't watched the 4th season of the 2003 show yet? There Karai became pretty much like her 2012 counterpart at the beginning of the show. Oh my! I hope Casey won't mutate into something, too

The 80s TMNT are still cool. I watch them on DVD.
I definitely understand the kind of villain 2003 and 2012 Shredders really stood for. They're relentless, cruel, and pure evil. 80s Shredder was more of comedy-type villain. In the live-action TMNT movies I've seen, I believe is when Shredder was truly more sinister as a villain. I believe now a days villains are made more vile like they should be proclaimed as.
And yes, I have missed out on a lot of the 2003-2005 TMNT. It's complicated. But I have seen as much as I could. I've seen the kind of person 2003 Karai can be. I have noticed that when 2012 Karai discovered that Shredder was not her real father, she was trying to get away from him. The only reason now she's with him is because she's been brainwashed. Not good!
Lets pray Casey won't be subjected to any mutations in the upcoming season. And unfortunately, I hear that that Tregg beast may be in the upcoming series. But lets look at the positive-sides too. Heroes like the Newtrinoes (I hope I got that right) and Usagi might show up too in the Turtles aide in the fight against all things evil.
