Skates: Not too clunky or impressive. His are pretty plain black and blue, although the side has ripped open once before on the left skate. They've been meticulously sewn back together once or twice. He takes good care of the wheels; they're dazzling.

Personality:
Patch is, at first blush, a very passive and narrow-minded individual. He tackles mundane tasks with a stubborn determination, but he tends to become bothered and irritated when faced with teasing or overload of small responsibilities. He has strong aspirations of being a team leader, but has a very delicate sense of pride.
He maintains an extremely aloof attitude towards everything. Whenever he's asked to elaborate on his opinions, he often responds with something along the lines of "never mind" or "that isn't important". Part of it is due to his distaste for explaining, but the other part is because he's extremely impatient. When others are making large mistakes, he rarely steps in unless it's absolutely necessary. He enjoys watching people make a fool of themselves, to some degree. Without a notable circle of people that he cares about as more than just acquaintances, his behavior tends to slide without too much personal tax.
Patch is a very self-aware person, though he acknowledges his strengths moreso than his flaws. He knows this makes him far too cold and practical, as he tries to aim for perfection.
Responsibility is a difficult concept for Patch. He believes it's necessary to face the truth and accept his own mistakes, but often has problems living up to his own philosophy. His disdain for his own hypocrisy often turns him into a bitter person. Many things he does are a bold front, and he is honestly rather shy and only desires to be needed. Patch's sense of responsibility can show up in rather unexpected situations; despite his outward persona, he's honestly very idealistic.

Backstory: Patch is kind of a new recruit. He's been around the 'teams' for about half a year. ( come JSRG's opening date, at least. ) He and Static live ( occasionally live, rather ) with their single father. Although they really do spend more time away from home than at it, Patch tries to visit his father once in a while when he's home from work, aware of how lonely he is.

He may or may not have an eye under that patch there, but due to only having one visible, his depth perception is rather bad. His balance, on the other hand, is great - so while he's good at skating and grinding, he can't go too fast without losing control.
And on that note, he doesn't talk about what's underneath. He likes teasing people's curiosity.
