Howdy all, I told you within the next two weeks I would have a piece out as part of a trade and this is exactly that!I decided to poke some people into trades and the fastest one to respond was so I jumped right onto work on the piece. As I wait for him to finish with his awesome side of the trade *Won't spoil content for any of your folks so you can read it fresh when it comes out* and in exchange for this secret awesome story I was asked to draw Lisa one of his main characters. After doing some clarification on Lisa's visual appearance this is what I came up with.

Now for details on the artwork:
Total time somewhere roughly between 28 and 38 hours
Reference for face bust and the arm away from her face used (Can't believe I invented the better posed one >.< ])
Linework done in 5 steps, first 3 regarding proportion on a grid, all done in photoshop.
Painted in photoshop for all aspects of the piece, the face is the only part I'm especially happy with how it came out, the rest is fairly better than my pathetic useless normal though!
Oh did I mention show the person I'm trading with some appreciation ?

This critique was indeed useful, when playing around with auto levels and stuff it tried to change her into snow white about ten times and that was ridiculous as far as skin tone goes. To my knowledge a belly button shouldn't distort if the surface it's on is stretched I'll have to do some research on that with analogs. This was very nice thank you for taking the time to write it out!

As you're likely able to note, this is the creator of those two works commenting and just wanted to hear each of your inputs. I'm very sorry that the subject matter nor style agrees with you and I hope you do your best to un-see anything that scars your psyche (To take your minds off it, here's a random parrygripp song about Spaghetti cat. [link] )I'm always happy for open dialogue, so hearing the myriad of reasoning behind your perturbation with the pieces there may be something I can do to make amends for my actions? I of course apologize to anyone who saw it oblivious to the visual damage it may cause them. Please feel free to poke my page on DA with comments so I can discuss why you have revulsion to the pieces *most likely obvious, but just as a clarification.* The more something is understood the less bizarre and erratic the reasoning behind it appears.

Though the face and one of the arms positioning is the only thing that actually turned out relatively as intended on this piece, jittery hands are bad for art, and quitting coffee is a vile thing to do...

Alright... well, since you already covered how the lines are shakey and whatnot...
The piece as a whole is lacking in asthetics. I'm sure someone with more skill in realism could draw the same picture and make it more enjoyable to look at but they didn't.
Your brush technique is mediocre and honestly the only thing that's interesting about this piece is the idea of people trapped in her stomach, trying to get out. It's grotesque and strange enough to catch the eye or someone, but other than that the style of the piece and the compossition even are just boring.
But it was definitely a shock factor and worthy of deviantartsnark!

Thank you very much, I'll be more than happy to work on the aesthetic nature, I'm finding it very hard to cement myself into a style there so my values are just coming along where they aren't realism, but they aren't exactly styalized in a good identifiable way either, do you have any suggestion on what's unpleasant about the brushstrokes? I was avoiding the RSB for textural reasons, but if that's one of the main things I can try to revert to that for less textural and more smoothed transitions. What would you recommend to add a point of interest? Through the variation in saturations values and hues I was trying to bring focus to the face and keep the picture relatively simple so that the predatory element would be the most outlandish.
Other suggestions on general techniques to work on are always great too!

I think you're concentrating too much on... well the fun things you can do with the brushes in photoshop. I actually don't know anything about photoshop really, besides layering and opacity... so... I really don't know what you could do with that program to make your art likeable.
I mean, if I were you... I would just go ahead and start from the basics in art because it needs a lot of work. take a figure drawing class. If you want to draw grotesque things, you'll find the models there usually old, fat, and wrinkly. But it helps with figured and making things look more natural and relateable.
But the only way for you to get me to even think about giving the generic "Great Job!" comment would be for you to draw something that wasn't a pregnant chick. I'm a girl... and I never want to be pregnant so I find nothing pleasing about drawings of them.

Err, if you took a dozen moments to check, this account is specifically to separate out my fetishy stuff with very few/none of my real work in here, its only purpose is for that stuff, other non fetishy stuff would be kept a heck of a far distance from here if it were at all identifiable. Most of my sketches are pretty mundane and non identifiable, just don't want any of my IRL stuff equated with my smut. Thus why I'll only post things like non identifiable croppings [link] here. The vast majority of my work is clean, thus why this site doesn't get updated weekly and occasionally has upwards of 4 months pass without a contribution. If your art had been either better or more grotesque as opposed to shocking, I would've snooped for either things to favorite or lolz. And I didn't think I'd find neither. I don't really care about your style so I just commented on this because someone had pointed in out on the lj community.
