XFadedToBlackX — WIP3

Description The plan of drawing for at least an hour each day is working well. The only thing is that I noticed how slow I actually am! It took me about 4 hours just to color this -_-

It actually doesn't feel like I'm working slowly while I do it. I guess it's because I pay attention to every tiny detail.

Anyway, the hair isn't finished, this is just the first layer. I need to fix the sketch of the background (the 'outside' of the window) a bit, it's not completely done either. And I need to fix the design on the wall.

A lot of working is waiting...

Btw, I love the eyelashes, although I made them look like the fake ones, but it was intended.

Ej, odlicno je! Stvarno predobro, nemam reci! Jedino ti dajem zamerku za debljinu struka, jer po anatomiji to nije logicno, nemaju gde da joj stanu orhani :/ Tako da ako i dalje mozes, mogla bi da samo podebljas to i savrseno je!

Lice je savrseno nacrtano.Telo je u redu kao i sake i kosa,ali malo oci i trepavice poravi.U sustini 4+ od mene + fav =5+

Hvala na kritici! Sta tacno nije u redu s ocima? Trepavice su vec uradjene bojicom, ne mogu da brisem! By the way, treba da izgledaju kao vestacke, a oci jos nisu obojene niti osencene, mozda ti zato deluje cudno.

Aww! This is so beautiful! Her dress, hair and everything. Also I think the city in the background looks really good^^ I look forward to see the next step in the drawing, or even more the finished result ^^ You're very good with colored pencils, I think.

Aw, thanks! I'm kinda proud of this one cause most of it will be done from head. I used the reference for the girl but her face and hair looks nothing like the original. And I'm going to color it from head too. The basic sketch of the background will be done from a photo I took on a school trip, but only for the main idea.

That's awesome! I know what you mean. If I draw a pic outta my head without using too much references, and it comes out good, I'm always a lot more happy with it than if I did it with a ref. Also I think the drawing get a nicer feeling/mood that way. Yea, you can really be proud of this drawing! : )

This looks so gorgeous! I cannot wait to see it completed! I love this pose and I love all the little sketch details in the corset and I'm so excited to see how you color them. I'm trying hard to keep track of the evolution of this piece because I want to start coloring my realism pieces soon. I'm taking notes on how you do it.

Oh, lol, you do? XD Well then I'll keep you updated, I'll upload a new WIP from time to time. Not too many though. But if you're interested in how I use colored pencils you can see my tutorial if you already haven't. You have it all explained there. I'm using the same technique for this one(which can be very noticeable on the hair), a lot of layering. Plus it's the same material.

Oh yay! I'll definitely check out your tutorial! But I love watching pictures come to life in WIPs too so I look forward to both, especially how you go about the corset details.

Omg, I lot of people are expecting to see the detailed corset when the details are actually just something I doodled for the sketch XD I guess I should try to make it look decent then.

Well, it's supposed to be blue-green color with some pattern in a darker color, maybe looking like a lace, I'm not sure. I just thought about it and figured I don't have time to mess with that right now, there's not a lot time left until the contest I'm preparing for. I need to do another portrait and MAYBE one more drawing and I have only about a month left.

Eeek that's a lot of big projects for such a short span! But it being a blue-green color will look gorgeous (it helps that that is one of my favorite color combinations). Well, you can only do so much, so either way, detailed or not as detailed, I think this piece will turn out beautiful!

Oh, blue-green is my favorite color too! That's why I'm using it. Plus the corset on the reference is kinda blue-ish.

Well, I'm not using the reference. I just took it for the basic shape I did with the graphite pencil.

Oh yeah, me too. Although my mom said her back looks weird. But that's how it is in the reference picture too! Oh, I forgot to link it, but I'll do it under the finished piece.

I don't think it looks weird. I think it looks like she is wearing a corset they tend to make the curves very angular around the hips/waist don't they
