He snorted as he opened up his eyes to see a blinking Morgan, smiling down on him.
“I’m leaving now, okay?” she asked.
“Did Maggie go to school, already?” asked the Houndoom before yawning. “I didn’t even realize what time it was.”
Morgan could only giggle.
“You lazy bum,” she said, causing Leo to chuckle.
“Well, you be careful out there, okay?” he asked. “And make sure to-”
“Be home by 6,” Morgan finished. “I know, Leo! You can be such a big worry wart, sometimes!”
“I’m just looking out for you, Morgan,” said the canine. “You have fun.”
“I will!” the vulpine chirped before she headed for the fence. “See ya later, Leo!”
With that, she pushed her way through a loose board and squeezed her way out, leaving Leo to continue his little nap.
