my new project for the summer, to make sure that I practice drawing these next couple months. I've been planning to watch all my old Disney movies in order just to relive my childhood, while at the same time, appreciating how animation has changed since 1937

so here's the first installation of said project: kndisney...yeah, I know, silly, right? oh well, I thought it'd be fun. plus, I know that a few people have already done this, most notably . still, I wanted to do my own version of things.

ah Robin Hood, possibly the movie with the best set of memories attached in my whole collection. I LOVED this movie as a kid. it's probably what got me into periodic movies, books, and artwork from that era. though now, after reading and watching different books, movies, and tv shows based on the legend of robin hood (my favorite being bbc's robin hood), this movie went from "all-time favorite" to "cute, but silly" on my personal scale. don't get me wrong, I still love it, but it's always left me in a kind of desire for more. even as a kid, I wished there was more to it. and now, I see sooo many historical inaccuracies (which weren't bad considering it was made for little kids), but there was so much room to just add more. I thought the alternate ending would've been better than the one that the creators ended up going with, but STILL! I dunno, I just wish that there was more to it.

ANYWAY! before re-watching this movie, I faintly remembered this fic I read years ago based on this movie that depicted numbuh 1 as robin and numbuh 362 as maid marian. that's pretty much all I remember about it, but that was the plan. until I thought that i'd done enough of those two for a while and settled on trying to do something else. so this scene is right after the archery tournament that prince john sets up to capture robin hood, when lady kluck (maid marian's lady in waiting) whacks him over the head with the prize golden arrow, and he orders his guards to seize her. suddenly, it's a flippin FOOTBALL game. hands down the funniest scene in the movie. numbuh 86 is now lady kluck, and some random dude (I vaguely remember a teen ninja with that face) as one of the guards that tried to tackle her
