Hello-hello! How are you guys? I bet you've been waiting for a digital piece that includes drawing, yes? Well, I've come back with a beauty of a DeviantID for myself (which is also a portrait of my persona)!

A lot of improvement compared to my last few pieces, right? Lately, I've been getting into make-up tutorials and stuff to understand the highlighting and shading for skin tones, along with shades of types of make-up that would look good with - for example - brown eyes. I looked up a list for eyeshadow colours that look good with brown eyes and got a blue-ish colour and decided to use that. The lips were simple enough since I don't wear very much lipstick and mainly lipbalm to make my lips look healthy and glossy, haha. The make-up tutorials also helped me understand the shades that would be used for my skin tone and where these shades would be appropriately used.
Aside from that, I went back to using thick lines because I love colouring with thiiiiick liiiiines..! It also makes colouring a lot easier when applying base colours; I use the magic wand tool on SAI to select the area I want to be coloured a specific colour and fill it with that base colour. Speaking of lineart, though: I separated parts of the lineart so that I could colour them to match their section (hair lines with hair colours, etc.), but keep a layer of all the lines in one layer so that I could use it as a selection source.
On the other hand, though: I'm really happy with how this came out. I just love how it looks a little more realistic than what I used to make, which was what I've been aiming for in sooooooooo loooooooong. Like before, I used Nataliadsw 's tutorial on colouring. Go check her out if you've never seen her page before - it's astonishing!
