i like the idea about this sketch and i get the part you want to make fun of BUT...
if you look at SATW's Denmark he is not the kind of guy who would call Christiania cooler than himself! and he most certainly would not cry about the fact danes drink the most in that age.
and as me fellow danes said its pretty normal to drink in denmark even at a low age.
nice one ;D

This is simply ages 15-16.
But isn't it legal for those to drink in denmark?

Like the other Danes who commented here, I was just about to give you a lecture about the fact that we don't actually have a drinking age here, but that you need to be 16 to buy stuff and 18 to be served at establishments XD;;
I can see the point you were trying to get to with this, but I also have to say that it was a little off with all the explanations from the others to back up that statement. But then again - Hetalia or SATW, I often see more fancomics/fics where the character/personification of Denmark acts completely non-stereotypical to what most Danes really would do. Sometimes I find it hilarious, sometimes it annoys me, but I guess that the fact that most people don't really know the country or its people that well makes it hard for anyone to hit the truly humorous marks. Humon and a few others do that well (even though I can never agree with the "Afraid of nature" thing... honestly, I've never heard of a person here who was /afraid/ of nature. Most love to go to wilder places where they can experience something great), but again, they are people who have the insider knowledge from either being Danish themselves, or having researched to the ends of the earth owo;;
All this being said, I'm fairly sure that the Fins actually beat us in youth-drinking here in 2009 XD Only the youth-drinking, though. We're still the most alcohol consuming up here in general.

To comment on things like this you need to know our culture, looking at a number doesn't give you a clear view of things.
As someone else said, in Denmark we're allowed to buy alcohol when we're 16 (when I was younger it was 15) in stores and when we're 18 we can buy it at bars, night clubs etc.
Until then we're in principle allowed to drink whenever we want at home, but of course most parents are responsible enough to make some rules about it.
Actuallt many parents when their child starts finding interest in drinking lets him/her drink at home so that they can guide then through it and make sure they won't get in trouble when they go out. So maybe we start early, but at least we know what we're doing.
I started drinking when I was fourteen and so did many of my friends, and today there's absolutely nothing wrong with any of us. For example drinking and driving is not nearly as common here as in many other countries that start later.
I have to say that as a Dane I was a bit offended by this comic. I know that it's just for fun, but since it's a fancomic for Humon's work, I think it's a bit off. The thing is, that Humon does make fun of the countries, but she always has her facts straight. If she makes fun of a country's personality it's always true/stereotypical for that country and that's what makes it funny.
The way that Denmark reacts here is nowhere near reality since Danes really don't care about this "problem"..
I don't mean to critisize, I just think it's important to get it out there..

Oh, and tbh as a Dane, I was a bit offended by this comic actually.
Danes are nowhere near ashamed of the fact that we are allowed to drink at 16, it is totally normal, and rates show that getting accustomed to alcohol at a very young age, makes you learn how to control it better, thus not having as many alcohol related accidents and so on, as other countries might. (Btw, there are studies that shows this, personally I studied it in my Law-class and Psychology class last year when I studied in England, and Denmark was used as a positive example as opposed to England where f.ex. underaged drinking and driving under the influence is seen as a much bigger problem than it is here, having cases of children driving and drinking every week, where we in my time hardly has 5 a year perhaps.)

Thanks for pointing out more information about Denmark. : 3 As you've pointed out, I still have a lot more to learn about the country. I also added these notes to my description:
"So I wanted to add in some clarification for the definition of underage drinking used here. I mean the legal age that someone is allowed to drink out in public in a country. This does not include drinking at home or with family.
I'd also like to note that this is making fun of a fact, not being serious about it so don't take it too seriously (it's supposed to be funny)."
I hope that helps clarify things down a bit, and I'm sorry if I offended you. I often find things in SATW hilarious, and at the same time quite offensive towards the US, but that's the point of her humor, to be able to laugh it off. : 3

-nods- I can see that. : 3 I get that a lot just from my accent since most countries aren't very fond of Americans. When I traveled to Ireland and England some people seemed almost put off when they learned I was American. Ah well, I guess that's life and stereotyping. : p
I've grown up in a state that allows you to drink on private property with your family and such, and as such I've been drinking with dinner and on special occasions since I was about 14. I believe they should lower the drinking age in the USA, but there are a lot of things about our culture that would need to be fixed first since the minute we lower the drinking age, our alcohol related deaths will sky rocket as people don't know how to drink responsibly (as most people aren't taught that growing up.) Then, the generation after that would be fine, but it'll be that first transition generation that will have it hard. : /

No clue. xD I was completely blown away when these statistics were presented in my class today. As I didn't do the presentation myself, I haven't looked too much into it.
