Description

Dear discouragement, please GTFO, k thanks! -Holy XD

I totally have the utmost respect for the people that can figure this stuff out! If you all can do it then i hope i can too!

lol.

Ok seriously, this by far is NOT anything special.

It's just another test of trying to learn how to pose faces and expressions on models. The difference however between this one and my Kairi Test (www.deviantart.com/xholyxlight… ) is that this one is NOT made with shape keys. But was based off trying to understand how they work (when you use them on MMD models, you can see the mesh distort as you move the slider so it can give you an idea of what to move where). This is also an XPS model, not MMD.

So the attempt to pose her mouth was done free hand. POORLY, i know -___- I'm not sure if i needed to leave the mouth / lip bones alone or not so i kind of did both.... sort of.

MMD's usage of shape keys do make things easier. I'm in NO way trying to knock that, because it's helped me understand how moving part of a mesh can work out, but learning how to create an expression by one's own hand from using those things as examples is really something too. Practice makes perfect, or whatever XD

Actually the one thing i can take away from trying to understand how this works is i was able to adjust her teeth a little bit and learn through self trial and error, that doubles on parts like that don't need to be removed all the time. I thought that only applied to meshes with face issues. Go figure!

Other than that, do ignore the errors on her hair and some of her skin and clothes. It's a ps3 model so it's not current gen quality. I've always liked the XIII models though. They felt unique compared to some of the other games.

I also didn't add anything special in photoshop to this, save for the rim light to help her stand out against the background, and added the background itself, as well as the tag. Everything else is basic simple lighting from blender.

Long story short. I'm still hanging around, just trying to practice and learn so i can get better. Feeling stuck sucks so much but i wont give up and i'm grateful to all those who've been a big help to me to date. They are what keep me determined to keep trying ^^

As always i welcome any tips or tricks to help things improve for the better!
