No other comic book film came close, before or since, to creating such a faithful, believable world for a comic book superhero. Thank you to Tim Burton, Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Michael Gough, Kim Basinger, and the entire Batman crew for adding such a significant piece to American culture and American mythology.
