Marvel and DC comics are what helped me with the human body. I didn't find this in the anime style--which is why I'm trying to kick anime to the curb now.
Also, try illustrating your own body. It works. I can almost draw a nose better simply by drawing my own snout a few times. lol

Yea i've been looking at western comics too... at least for the male bodies, then again I also look at some of the manga ones where the guys don't look like girls. Sometimes I don't like how they draw the woman figure in western comics. I'm just letting both western comics and manga inspire my style.
As for the illustrating my own body, that sounds like a good idea for practice. I'll make sure to do that this weekend once i'm done with my drawing II project. Thanks for the tip.
