17" x 24" pencil portrait of Abe Hiroshi from the Japanese movie Survive Style 5+. This piece really took FOREVER--around 30+ hours.Reference was used--Taken from a movie screen cap.

I'm moved to feeling the moment I see the image, it's a dark, dour sort of feeling, but the impression is captured around the ending of that figure's life, that character...Like a premonition, witnessing it...because the lack of color contributes to enabling the viewer to make up their own mind if it's blood or juice or something like that...
That's just an opinion from someone that is not familiar with the movie you list. I think the illustration is wonderful.
