Ooh I just melted at the awesome. That invokes such desires of adventure. I also love this type of a magical scene, the palate lends itself to exotic an heat, it's sparse and speaks of bold blues and gleaming golds. The light casts itself across scene to break it up. The landscape's broken quality affords the main focus of the image a noble isolation, as befits a place of majesty. Well emphasised by the dusky haze just below the lie of the land. The light emphasising this by highlighting the construction and throwing the surroundings into shadow. I like the subtle additions of the light blues to the construction as well, it really serves to highlight the scene well.
