another quick sketch in whatever coloring. im getting lazy doing a clean lineart/serious coloring.done with the Germans and the Soviets, so i tried to draw these NA brothers. i thought they're twins at first...are they?
just wanna illustrate them as typical siblings.
no incest, they are brothers not lovers.

I just remembered to fave this bit of awesome.
And if you are still wondering if they are twins, they really aren't but they are both still the same age because they are half brothers! or at lest to me they are. (In my headcanon Most of the Countries were humans who took a magic oath to be reborn with their life force bound to their country) If you ever looked at their blood lines, Matthieu's and Alfred's father was a half English/half French man wile Matthieu's mother was a descendent of some of the viking/native-mix people and Alfred's mother was a half German/part Norwegian/part Danish/part Finish woman. This is part of the reason is Matthieu only just barely more similar to Frances than to any one else, Alfred looks more like Ludwig, and both brothers look lot more like the Nordics at times. I even have this little bloodline map for this that shows the blood of the grandparents and great-grandparents!
This is just may silly over though out headcanon, sooo yeah.

I don't think they're twins. Many people say they're and it's a reocurring theme in fanfics but I disagree with that. But then pops up the question which one is older. Some people say America because hebacame independent before Canada but some people say Canada because they think Canada was found by the Nordics called Vinland many many many years ago. I belong to this latter group.

I go by the year they officially became countries:America's the older one since he gained his independence in 1776 while Canada got his in 1867(yes,I know he was technically a Dominion but still,he became his own country at that point)

there not twins from what I can tell. America would be the older one since he officially became America in 1776 and Canada claimed his independence from Brittan inΒ 1867. (technically they're not blood related brothers at all like the Italian brothers.)

They kinda are twins...but not. They're countries so their family relations are weird. I always thought the argument that because they are on the same continent is why they are siblings was weird, because by that logic then all of Europe&Russia&Asia (except Japan) would be related to each other, same with Africa....
