Scary as HIM can be, even in his final form, I still say Aku is the scariest Cartoon Network villain ever.

Ms. Keane: I just stood there...stood there, waving goodbye as they raced off and they disappeared...and they were missing for 50 years.

Did I ever mention that Him (or I should say Satan) is my least favorite PPG villain in the entire series? But first *cues Egg Emperor from Sonic Heroes*

Best episode ever! Literally this is why I love PPG, it may seem innocent and sweet at first glance, but it can be dark and scary and it's even big of a shock as you didn't expect it. With Courage the Cowardly Dog, you expect it since the word "courage" is in the title, meaning there is a threat. With PPG, it's very subtle and suprising when depression, blood red sky, bad future, damnation to hell and Satan is now ruling the earth all because of a small mistake you made is an emotional roller coaster and it shows that PPG doesn't talk down to its audience.
And besides, any episode with HIM in it is bound to be awesome. Except Season 4 onwards. PPG staff, you have disrespected my husbando.

Right. That form would cause some destruction. I tend to find that intense.
And yeah, at some points, the series can get dark a little. I try to aim for that in PPGsli (S7 and beyond). But not too much.

Him was indeed always great to watch, and I believed it was mostly because of his way to confront the girls. Instead of simply fighting them, he would put one against the other, or control their loved ones. I think Speed Demon is the only episode where the girls actually try to fight him off (without success).
He was more on the "defeat them" than physically destroying them.
I guess that is why I feel this episode is so thrilling. Because Him is shown in full power, and it's overwhelming.
That said... I always had issues with "Speed Demon"'s moral at the end of the episode, basically saying that the girls were condemned to be always around to fight or else the world would be destroyed, and it will be their fault, but they did eventually fixed that with the "Superfriends" episode.

The idea that maybe the girls do need and deserve an occasional break, since they ARE still kids.

I actually think Him is less scary in this form. Now his body matches his voice, it seems more like a "regular" demon. 12 years after I first saw PPG I'm still scared of the cross-dressing form. It's just that much more uncanny.
