I got accepted into AF-Rebirth !/// joining with suzuaki because why not...cries
please stop me from joining too many rp groups omg...especially because I'm just getting more and more busy as time goes on

also remind me to change his headshot, I tried to work with a more sketchy free style...but it doesn't suit me in my opinion

Lucas is known as the so called gentleman specifically because of his personality. He tends to be the pleasing type, showing off his best sides to others as much as possible. He easily adapts to situations and can take in information fairly quickly. He tends to analyze others categorizing them to his advantage, this way he can showcase his best side to them. He has a cool demeanor that makes him almost seem overly confident in himself, which is partly true considering he is usually quite confident when it comes to his work. He tends to focus on logical approaches rather emotional when it comes to other people, forming emotional attachment seems like a waste to him. Though that detachment causes him to be fairly insecure on the inside; because if he doesn't hold attachment to anything, what grounds him to reality? Lucas' sense of reality is quite distorted, he often appears to be cynical considering that happiness just doesn't appeal to him as much. He easily dwells on sad, worrisome thoughts, rather the happy ones. This part of him makes him reluctant in engaging with other even more. Though at the bottom of it, he does hold concern for others, he does actually care, he purposely dwells upon his negative feelings because they're less fragile in comparison to happy feelings. A sly move, but it gives him a sense of protecting his true thoughts within.

History: The Valentin family was a well off family for generations, they were known for their prestige and power in the business world. Though once the incident of 2077 happened, the family's name slowly collapsed. The Valentin family had been known to be a quite sickly family, and this was quite noticeable with mutations. The mutations easily took over both Lucas and his older sister's body, nearly overpowering their immune systems. Their parents, in fear decided that the best way to protect the children was to keep them away from the eyes of society. The two parents didn't want to do this to their children, but they were frantically lost in their own world trying to solve their financial crisis. The two were enclosed in a special house next to the main, they were taken care by other servants. Lucas developed not one but two mutations, first his wings, and later the mangy horns on his head, which made his parents turn away from him even more in comparison to his sister. His parents tried to showcase care for them by visiting them and providing them with the best they could, but it just wasn't the same. His concept of a family relationship became distorted, all he really saw was his sister, she was his safe haven, someone who truly understood him for who he was. His sister was always sickly though, and as he grew older he began to realize more and more of the world, that his sister's condition was worsening.
At this moment he realized he had to do something, he had to make a change, and that's when he decided to join the group Musa Luo. His knowledge of Musa Luo was that they were highly recognized for their intelligence and medical advancement. He believed that if he joined, just maybe he could figure out someway to help his sister. When he told his sister that he was going to be leaving her, his heartstrings tightened on the inside. Him leaving her would mean she would be alone, that he was in a sense betraying her. Him leaving her meant that he might never see her again, that he would be removing his own savior in his little world. He would be destroying his own self for someone else. Though if it meant it could help the person who built his world, it was worth it, wasn't it? When finally saying the last of his words, she smiled at him and presented him with the scissor blades. She knew he couldn't be kept grounded by her side, and had been waiting for the day to come. She was ready to let go, but he wasn't. All he could do was cry one more time by her side before leaving her.
Once leaving the household, Lucas threw away all he had for a new identity, someone stronger who could become something greater. To become that stronger self though, he built himself on walls; walls to protect the truly fragile boy deep down on the inside. These walls became the foundation of his cynical, reluctant personality.

He has longer hair for the purpose of shielding his face, it makes him feel protected in a sense
He is often quite complicated when it comes to his own feelings, the detachment to others outside of his sister causes himself to distance himself
He does like to play around and joke a bit, it’s reassuring in a sense, reminding him that he’s still ‘human’ as well
He fines flirting to be a way to play around, it's a stress reliever, plus it's always nice to have someone of 'interest'
He actually really likes flowers, but there's not many considering the incident of 2077 stripped most of plant life away
If he likes you, he'll let you play with his hair. Especially because he likes people playing with his hair
Pictures comfort him, it's a way of capturing something without hurting it, which is why he invested himself into photography
