Bummer...I got all excited thinking that this was a new discovery!
Anyway, it looks quite awesome. I think it could exist too, especially on another continent...I wonder what sort of carcharodontosaurids were living in Australia/ Antarctica, if any...

Thanks for the bummer. Β In truth, some of the artists anticipated the discovery of real animals. Example: In All Yesterday was a creature "Ceticaris" and laterΒ describedΒ like him Tamisiocaris.
Carcharodontosaurid were found in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas. That is, it is a very widespread group, so no need to exclude them open in Australia/Antarctica in the coming years...

The texture and colors are spot on! Honestly, when I first saw the name, I thought it would be a real new dino.

What's your inspiration for creating this animal, and, out of curiosity, (if you thought about this) why would he / she evolve on a continent already dominated by Giganotosaurus & Mapusaurus?

Inspiration... at first I thought it was a giganotosaurus, just added him excrescence on his nose. Inspiration no one served. This lizard can live before the two giants, and maybe this is the ancestor of one of them.

Thank you! Speculative evolution is very interesting. So, then, perhaps, I can come up with and draw someone else (not necessarily a dinosaur).
