IT'S JOHN SENAN-

Name/Alias: Senan Meyer
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Age: 25 years old
Height: 177.8 cm or 5’10”

Insignia Location: Left-arm shoulder

Weapon: Taser
Abilities: Senan’s headset is used as an advanced communications and analysis computer. While he has military training in combat and conditioning, he has long been acclimated for more supportive roles. His taser additionally has different settings of effectiveness and can serve as a mini EMP.

Personality:

Easy-going and witty, he makes a friendly companion especially if he is on your communication network. He is experienced in maintaining composure and a thorough work ethic, making him an exemplary worker. After work hours, he draws a clear divide over his tolerance. There’s just so much you can take when you’re not getting paid for it.

Outside of work, he is more impatient and more likely to be rather sharp with his words. This can result in him voluntarily walking away from a conversation or in more drastic cases, escalate the situation. He is also easily caught up in competition, getting too into a bet or a spar. Pushing a bit too hard or making slightly outrageous bluffs. He will always come down though for good sportsmanship.

When he is not an inch from being a zombie after work, he enjoys casual conversation (not work related) and media entertainment and trivia learning. Trying new things and learning about aliens is another fun weekend activity.

History:

Senan’s home life was in his opinion, forgettable. His parents holding government jobs as high rank officials in economy and development. His siblings branched into other areas with their talents as politicians and researchers. Despite his exposure to higher education and subjects, he had no interest or ambition. This is mostly because as the youngest, he sought a way to differentiate himself from his older siblings but found his interests colliding with theirs. His family’s high status and high stress jobs did not afford him much attention and he both craved and resented it. He sought life outside the mundane, which by his definition was anything that fit into the respectable lifestyle he lived, was interesting and was different from his family. He was a waste of potential without direction.

Eventually, his uncle suggested military service as it had changed and developed with space travel since the last family member had served in active duty. Finding no reason to refuse, he was recruited and seemed set for a military career until he was put through an aptitude test for military specialization. There he showed strong foundations for communications and data analysis. He was transferred to Command Center as an Operator where higher officials took a liking to his quick uptake on his broad range of subjects and was eventually promoted and recommended to space travel for the Lumastra program. Basically, like an astronaut program. It was like a lightbulb went off. It was different and he agreed easily.

Training for Lumastra seemed to utilize every tidbit he picked up in life with a large heaping of first-hand experienced simulation. AND he had no family member in the program to compete with. Perhaps what he really sought was freedom without the chains of familial duty. On Lumastra, his Earth relationships seemed very little and he embraced it.

Additional Trivia:

    -      Despite how normal he thinks his childhood is, yes he had a cushy upper class life.

    -      Likely he has an inferiority complex with his own family and refusing to do anything similar meant he never needed to compare himself to them.

    -      He has a very distant relationship with his family though he wouldn’t do anything to harm or put them at a disadvantage.
