(Speedpaint ~2h) (buy this as print)After founding the planet RR-76 the council of the 'Tri-Federation' (Earth, Marna Prime and the Jujil-Imperium) decided to send out a fleet of cartographs. Their demand is that this planet will be cartographed (landmass, mineral, deep scans and biosphere) within two standard earth months. This will be a tough job so a lot of half automated drone-ships are send out, only having a crew of two people who will live and work the whole two months on such a ship.

Nice one ! Colors are pretty cool !
The two peaks are covered with a white glow, "this radiance" is correct when the subject is metal made (for example).
In this case it may unfits with the rest of the painting, don't you think ?

The white glow is more a light orange bloom (as the color is additive to the blue of the sky this might appear more as white) reflected from the stone as the sun is near the horizont and so the light is reflected in a very hard contrast as coming nearly horizontally. If the light is strong enough it can create some kind of specular effect even if the surface is not out of metal. I used the bloom to create an additional focus on the two peaks. So at least that was my intention ^^

I love the colours used here - the red is so vibrant! And the ship - I like a lot; black is a superb choice compared to the vibrancy of the background - superb
