I was watching some surfers and was trying to get a few shots of them as they dived under the waves as they paddled out. Unfortunately the spray hid them as they emerged out the back of the wave. If you look carefully you can just see a surfer partially hidden on the right hand side. I suppose a good zoom lens would have helped.Still, it was a beautiful wave.
(I wonder if the surfer's name was Waldo or Wally?)

The crest of the wave reminds me of polar bears and other arctic things.

Ahh. An amazing wave shot! I find taking photos of the beach not always as easy as you may think. This is a particular spectacular one because we're on an angle at which you'd think only possible as surfer or on a good piece of land looking from this side.
I like how the movement is caught, and the wind can near be felt by looking at it. The spray of water seems like snow dust rather than water but it's a beautiful image of absolute natural rhythm.

I think that was taken at "Short Point Recreation Reserve, Merimbula", near the headland or point looking north.
Throw that into Google Earth and you'll probably see it.

You really don't even need to worry about the surfer anyway. The spray from the wave is really unique and super cool! It almost looks fake, it's so legit!
