Charcoal pencil artworkthis is my 1st image of Zack Fair. i put a lot of effort in making the shading effect look real.

oh almost forgot. u buy the "soft" charcoal pencil. not the "medium". i suggest u buy "faber castell". It cost around 1.5 bucks. expensive but its worth it.

check out my "red xiii-3". This one is different. Its color pencil. U need strength in this technique, otherwise the fading effect of the color won't be as good as it is. In charcoal pencil, u dont need strength, u need to look 4 d EXACT location of the shadows to make it look real.

a spreader is a white pencil that's made of paper. it doesn't have any ink/lead. It only spreads the charcoal lead to create a fading effect. try it. its ez to use. there's a small and a big one. i suggest u use the small first. it'll only cost u a quarter.
