We got a couple nice shots of horses from Bay Laurel Arabians (Berkeley, CA) this summer, so I thought Iβd post a few. Unfortunately, I don't have the full hi-rez pics yet, but once my friends sends them I'll replace these little files. Prepare yourselves for a bit of RL horse spam. ;]All the horses at the stable are pure Arabs, bred, trained, and raised for endurance racing. Most of them have competed (and many have placed in the Top Ten) in the Tevis Cup, a prestigious 100-mile-in-one-day race, among their other races and awards.
This is Enzo Sacchi BL (#630701), a 15.0h grey Arabian stallion. By Concensus, out of Trazza BL (Baskhemo x Filli Fad), foaled 2006.

What a pretty horse! God I wish my arabs mane would get that long but thats what i get for getting a rescue lol

Thank you! It's worth noting, though, that his mane is abnormally long for an Arabian (at least, who isn't pampered specifically to keep its mane long). Β Very few of the 30 or so other Arabs at the stable he's from have similarly flowing locks. ;]

Aw, he's super cute though! I like the short mane too, personally. I had to give Tosca, another Arab at the stable, a really short tail for a while because she got an infection on her tail.Β

As do I, but it would be nice to have it flowing in the wind, and it may actually help with fly control, so Im letting it grow out

Thank you! It was really hard to get decent photos β as you can see, all the Arabians on the stable live in large, hilly pastures, so getting them in a spot where you can take a good picture is difficult (not to mention getting them to stand there long enough to take photos instead of rubbing their heads on you and sniffing you all over). XD
