So I drew this in November 2019 and it turns out there are some older drawings I haven't got to submit yet.
Anyways, I still love Spinel and she needs to appear in Steven Universe Future soon. I am especially looking forward to the episode with the coloured White Diamond.

𝔰𝔭𝔦𝔫𝔢𝔩 𝔦𝔫 𝔡𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔪𝔱𝔞𝔩𝓴:

Backstory (her backstory is very similar to Spinel from Steven Universe as Dreamtalk Spinel is basically Spinel in my universe but there are differences):
Spinel was created by Yolanda and Bethany Diamond for Priscilla.
Spinel was an entertainer and playmate for Priscilla. Priscilla was Spinel’s only friend and Spinel was very loyal, sweet, innocent, and loving to her though she was often childish.
Spinel and Priscilla played games together in a private garden that’s located on another rock faraway from Homeworld but connected with the warp pads.
Everything was okay until Priscilla decided to leave Spinel by tricking her into staying in the garden instead of following her to Homeworld. When Priscilla told Spinel about her playing a game of standing and waiting until she returned to the garden herself, Spinel immediately agreed to stand and wait, not knowing that Priscilla wasn’t going to come back to her.
Spinel stood in a spot and waited at the garden while Priscilla was trying to get Planet Earth to be her first colony. Spinel absorbed the ground energy for power but she eventually became weaker as vines started tangling up around her.
Thousands of years after Spinel agreed to play the game of standing and waiting for Priscilla and therefore began to stand and wait in a spot, on September 2, 2019, Spinel witnessed a broadcast at the garden with Steven talking about Priscilla actually being dead a long time ago.
After hearing the broadcast, Spinel left the garden and gathered up an injector and rejuvenator. She then went onto Earth to attack the Crystal Gems and Steven.
Spinel was temporarily reset to her original form by the rejuvenator before she was reminded of her trauma and once she transformed back into her changed form, the injector was stopped for a bit as she got along with Steven though that didn't last long. When Spinel thought Steven betrayed her, she turned on the injector once more.
Not long after the injector was turned back on, the injector exploded due to a punch inflicted by Spinel.
Spinel was saved from the explosion by Steven who bubbled both himself and her but she was still angry and she started to fight Steven while he defended himself with his shield.
After fighting Steven, Spinel started to reflect on her actions and felt ashamed that she wanted to attack the Crystal Gems and Steven, especially Steven as she realized he cared for her. They didn't do anything to her unlike Priscilla so why is she taking her anger out on them?
Not long after Spinel stopped fighting Steven, Bethany came to Planet Earth using the warp pads to observe the scene where the injector was before it exploded and after learning about Spinel’s backstory and her willingness to change, she took Spinel in and told her to come with her.
Once Spinel went on Homeworld in the evening of September 2, 2019, she went into Bethany’s mansion. It turns out she’s a replacement for Priscilla as Priscilla died long ago so she started talking to Pink Pearl, who was controlled by Wilma until January 2019. She and Pink Pearl were supposed to relocate to Priscilla’s old mansion, which is now a supply house, though she chose to stay in Bethany’s mansion.

Personality (last edited on December 13, 2023):
Spinel is cheerful and excitable as well as talkative.
Spinel can be insecure and she can go to other people to feel good about herself.
Spinel can be hard on herself when things don’t go the way she wants, which shows when she wants her singing to be perfect when she sings covers and original songs.
Spinel loves hanging out with other people. She doesn’t like being alone and hates being forgotten.
Spinel has a temper, especially when people talk bad about her, but she tries to not hurt the ones she loves.
Spinel is emotional and passionate.
Spinel loves working towards betterment and loves success. She doesn’t like spending time doing nothing, preferring to be on her feet and doing something. She can procrastinate if she has difficulty but she usually ends up persevering in the end.
Spinel likes being loved and supported. She is usually loving and supportive towards others, especially to her friends. She gets afraid of people hating her and can think other people don’t like her even when that’s not the case.
Spinel dislikes when others are upset with her. She hates conflict and unnecessary confrontation.
Spinel doesn’t usually have a good memory but she isn’t bad at tracking down numbers.
Spinel is detail-oriented.
Spinel likes being honest about her feelings but she also thinks it’s important to be nice. She is direct with her words.
Spinel can have sexual behaviour and she doesn’t mind taking risks.
Spinel is often empathetic and understanding.
Spinel tends to be indecisive and likes when others help her be more certain of things. She can feel torn when it comes to following her heart and what she wants versus making others happy because she loves making others happy and doesn’t want to disappoint them.
Spinel is sometimes helpful and generous.
Spinel has a pensive side to her though she doesn’t normally dwell too much on her thoughts and be extremely reflective.
