Hello everybody! I think it's time to talk about my main Pokemon OC Viona, don't you think?
Tbh, I've always wanted to draw something like this, and I'm finally done! Here I'll talk about Viona's backstory, personality, info... It's pretty long but I hope you read it!

Name: Viona.

Age: She starts her adventure when she’s 10 years old, she spends one year per region. (D.o.B: 5th December)

Occupation: Pokemon trainer & coordinator.

Personality: Viona has suffered many changes along her adventures. At the beginning, she was pretty shy and insecure. Her journey through Hoenn wasn’t easy at all and she wanted to give up many times. She even gave up on contests and she regretted it later.

When she travelled to Sinnoh, she wanted to make a difference so she forced herself to confront her fears. Therefore, she became more determined and brave. Her friends during this were really important! Without them she wouldn’t have changed this much.

From now on, Viona is way more determined and serious about her goals but doesn’t forget to have fun and enjoy her adventures. She learnt to trust in herself much more than she used to do.

Family:

                Evelyn: Viona’s mother. She works from home. She’s a pokeball designer for Devon Corporation. She absolutely loves her two children but she respects their own space, privacy and independence. Evelyn has a strong personality; she’s adventurous and brave but also sweet and loving. She’s from Johto. Her parents have a Miltank ranch there and her unique pokemon is a shiny Smeargle.

                Adam: Viona’s father. He was born in Hoenn. He works at Devon Corporation making new pokeballs using Evelyn’s designs. Adam loves his family with all his heart that sometimes he’s a bit overzealous. He cried for a week when he knew Viona was going to start a journey through Hoenn.

                Taron: Viona’s little brother. He was worn in Hoenn. Taron is a student in the Trainers’ School in Rustboro City. He has a strong personality and he’s pretty stubborn. Sometimes Taron is a bit rude with Viona because she can travel around. He feels jealous of her. His dream is becoming a member of the Elite Four. Even if he has a hard personality he shows a affection to every pokemon and take care of them with all his heart.

Backstory:

-First part-

Since she was born, Viona was always a girl with big dreams. She always wanted to become good friends with every pokemon but the truth was that she couldn’t get along with them at all. That’s why her classmates used to make fun of her although it didn’t stop her from keep trying even though the pokemon used to completely ignore her.

Viona’s passion started thanks to her mother, who told her many stories about her childhood in her parents’ ranch. Evelyn used to talk about how they used to wash and brush their pokemon, how they played with them… She also talked about her adventures and battles and, of course, Viona wanted to live all of that.

One night, before going to sleep, Viona looked through the window and asked for a wish. She wished she could become friends with many pokemon and promised she would love and take care of them all. That wish was so pure it woke up a small pokemon. This pokemon travelled through the night sky, looking like a shooting star. It almost crashed against Viona’s face. Both of them stared at each other for a second and then… the pokemon disappeared!

Hoenn: (10 years old)

This one was her first journey. Viona was pretty insecure and shy and her rival didn’t help her at all. He used to point out how clumsy she was and he often asked how she made it at the Trainers’ school. However, Viona hid big ideas and strategies in her mind but her self-esteem was so low she always thought they were silly and stupid.

During this trip she participated in gym battles and contests. She wanted to give up on both of them but she ended giving up only on contests. Viona regrets it a lot. Once she finished her trip, she came back home unsure of what she should do next. Definitely she didn’t want to do a second journey; she isn’t good at that so… She thought about becoming a Pokemon Breeder but… During her studies she attended to a show performed by the People of the Water. That show gave her new dreams and ambitions.

Her rivals during this journey are: Brendan, Wally and Clark (one of my OCs!)

Sinnoh: (11 years old)

Her second journey! Viona starts this journey willing to do whatever she wants, fulfil her dreams and not giving up. She refused to stop doing what she wants because of what others think. In other words, she mentally changed.

During this journey she meets real rivals who make her improve and never give up. Viona joins gym battles and contests and will make everything she can to win!

Her rivals during this journey are: Barry (Jun), Clark (my OC), Diana (my OC), Lily, Lara and Ethan (didimoons ’ OCs!).

Unova: (12 years old)

With the experience of her previous journey, Viona starts a new one in Unova. She starts becoming more mature and more serious about training.

Her rivals during this journey are: Barry (Jun), Bel, Cheren, N, Lily, Lara and Ethan.

Alola: (13 years old)

Since I’m still playing this game, I don’t have much in mind yet but all I can say is that Viona starts this journey willing to enjoy it and have fun in Alola! For her, Alolan customs are very interesting so… She’s more like a tourist here even if she’s doing the Island Challenge.

Her rival during this journey is: Hau. (I’m still playing this game so maybe more characters join!)

Kalos: (14 years old)

This one is her last journey by now. In this journey, she becomes more experienced and is willing to be one of the best trainers!

Her rivals during this journey are: Kalm and Serena.

Items explanation: I feel I need to explain some of these items so… Here we go!

   Holo Caster: We all know that Holo Casters were created by Lyssandre Labs and it would be a bit weird that Viona, whose parents work for Devon Corporation, has one. The explanation is that one of her parents’ friend work for Lyssandre Labs. In my story, Lyssandre Labs are working on some kind of Interregional Server so people from different regions can use the Holo Caster. Since they know Viona is travelling, they gave one to her and another one to her parents. Her parents didn’t get annoyed because they think rivals can make you improve a lot so… they’re willing to work even harder in Devon Corporation. I wanted her to have this because the Holo Caster isn’t as big as the Xtransceiver or the Pokenav. It’s way more comfortable to use. Viona gets it when she travels to Unova.

Poketch: In her opinion, the most useful tool she got. It’s her favourite tool.

Wallet: Inspired in Glameow. She has a different wallet for each region. In Hoenn she uses a wallet inspired in Mudkip, in Unova she uses one inspired in Tepig, in Alola she uses one inspired in Rowlet and in Kalos she uses one inspired in Pikachu.

Trainer ID: This deserves another long explanation! (Sorry). Viona’s story was firstly inspired in Pokemon games but thanks to Didi I started to pay more attention to the anime. In the anime, the pokedex works as the Pokemon Trainer ID and you can use it to join to the Pokemon League and Pokemon Contests but… It doesn’t make sense for me because not everyone has a Pokedex so… Viona has this card just in case she doesn’t get a Pokedex in the new regions.

Contest Pass: This doesn’t need an explanation at all. It is inspired by the Contest Passes that are seen in the anime.

Journal: Viona keeps a journal for each journey. Each one have a different cover (Hoenn: red (because I played Pokemon Ruby), Sinnoh: blue (because I played Pokemon Diamond), Unova: Black (Pokemon Black), Alola: tropical theme, Kalos: dark blue (Pokemon X).

Notebook: Viona plans her battle strategies or her contest exhibitions in this notebook. She mainly uses drawings and sketches to illustrate her ideas.

    Bath set: She uses this since her journey to Sinnoh. Viona’s skin is very delicate to the changes of climate. Hoenn seems to have a hot climate (almost tropical I guess?) so when she travels to Sinnoh (cold climate) her skin suffered a lot. That’s why she started to take this set with her, so she can carry moisturizers and face masks.

    Sewing set: This set is only to make her dresses for Pokemon Contests.

    Elastic net: Viona uses this net when she can’t reach a Pokemon Centre to stay over. Since she’s from Hoenn, she’s used to make Secret Bases in the routes.
