Quite striking. This method you've used in drawing other animals works so well here. At first, in thumbnail size anyway, it looks like a photo w dramatic lighting...then it's clear that it is drawn, but the hawk is not covered in feathers as one would expect, but with pulses of energy waving outward from the hunter's intense eyes. Hawks are so much about their vision, it seems fitting that the brightest part of a hawk's portrait should be his eyes, with all else lit by the the excess energy rolling away from them as it fades away...
