YOU'VE GOT A LOT TO GIVE!
As a professional photographer, I would like to see you try and adopt the following fundamentals in professional photography. They are called the ABCs.
A) ACTION: Both physical and mental.
Physical: Do something: eat, read, kiss, cry, etc.
Mental: The eyes are the window to you soul.
Show the passion of what you are doing.
B) BACKGROUND: Keep is Simple. Don't let your
background upstage you; yet make it
relevant to you are doing (and what you
are wearing)
C) CLOSE: Get as close as you can without loosing the power seen in your physical and mental action.
Your backgrounds are simple and powerful.
You do get reasonably close to what you hope to capture.
But, don't just sit there. You have beautiful eyes. I would like to see varying emotions coming from them - anything from extreme joy to deep sorrow and everything in between. These feelings won't be expressed in your eyes unless you really feel it.
Lastly, show some kind of physical action and don't be afraid to use props. Holding a volleyball with a beach and volleyball net in the background would help set up the mental feeling you may be trying to story: a win, a loss, frustration, etc.
Cooking could be another physical action. Get the proper props and background, etc.
I know your theme is cosplay, so what would your character most likely do?
Here's wishing you the best. You have the raw talent to go far.
Good luck.
