Description Hmm, I wanted to try another cartoonish drawing to see how well I'd do... This is the second one I've tried and it looks so much better.
Cartoonish isn't my thing...but I tried, aye?

I used a reference picture of a friend. When I drew it out on my tablet, I noticed that the different color of her hair dye looked somewhat like a heart... so I included it.
and I just decided to give her blue hair just for fun.

It was a lot of fun to draw, but I really need to get to work on other things, haha. I need to stop procrastinating!

I think it's adorable.
I can't do anything quick... I thought I'd be able to do some drawings kinda like this more quickly, but I'm like a perfectionist with detail. I need to stop it sometimes. haha.

lol yeah I know, I find that my character digital drawings take much longer..not sure why

I'm not really sure why it took me so long either really. I think it is because I struggle to make things look unrealistic. I'm so used to doing realistic things, it's natural for me. Other artists struggle with making things look realistic, and I'm the opposite.

I suppose people that are primarily portrait artists struggle in some way with abstract and cartoonish looking styles. Either way, it's good practice for me, but I think I'll stick to my realism for a while after those last two attempts. Haha.
